PUBLIC NOTICE In the District of Thanet THE THANET DISTRICT COUNCIL
(OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that on 1st April 2025 The Thanet District Council (“the Council”) in accordance with section 32, 33, 34, 35, 39 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act hereby make the following Order:


The District of Thanet (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2025 The effect of this Order will be to remake the provisions of the existing Off-Street Parking
Places Orders into a single Order and to revoke the following Car Parks:
1. Dreamland Car Park, Margate
2. Foreness Car Park, Palm Bay Avenue, Margate
3. High Street Car Park, Minster
4. Monkton Road Car Park, Minster
5. Beresford Gap Car Park, Birchington


The areas designated for Off-Street Parking are identified in plans attached in
Schedule 4 of the Order.
A copy of the sealed Order and the associated plans are available for inspection at the Council Offices, Cecil Street, Margate, Kent, CT9 1XZ between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
The Order comes into force on 1st April 2025, but if any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that a requirement of the Act, or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date in which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
