What is happening?

Temporary Northbound Closure of Ringwood Road, Ferndown

DORSET COUNCIL has made an order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles, cyclists and horse riders will be prohibited from proceeding along Ringwood Road, Ferndown northbound between Glenmoor Road and Church Road as indicated by signage on site. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the use of traffic management to carry out gas main replacement works in the highway. It will come into operation on 30 March 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 2 May 2025. Access northbound will be maintained from Longham Double Mini Roundabout to the junction with Glenmoor Road only.

This Order will enable SGN to carry out gas main replacement works.

An alternative vehicular route will be signed using: B3073 Ham Lane - A31 - Ringwood Road.

Temporary Closure of Various Roads, Holt

DORSET COUNCIL has made an order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles, cyclists and horse riders will be prohibited from proceeding along various roads, as listed:

(i) White Sheet, Holt between Brophams Lane and Sheepcroft Lane.

(ii) Whitesheet, Holt between Sheepcroft Lane and Highfield Lane.

The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 30 March 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 11 April 2025.

The closure will enable Wessex Internet, safe access to carry out fibre cable installation works.

An alternative diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to be routed around the closure.
