What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A: New Road (Part), Landford, from its junction with B3079 for a distance of approximately 1km in a northerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via New Road (unaffected length) – A36 – B3079 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 April 2025 and the closures will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 3 days. B: Richmond Road, Salisbury, from its junction with Kingsland Road for its entire length to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out surfacing patching and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 14 April 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 for 1 day. C: St Nicholas Road (Part), Salisbury, from its junction with Ayleswade Road to its property known as St Nicholas Hospital, D: Old Harnham Road, Salisbury, from its junction with St Nicholas Road for its entire length, E: Ayleswade Road, Salisbury, from its junction with Ayleswade Road to its junction with A3094 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out resurfacing and associated works. No alternative route is available. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

F: Charlton Lane (Part), Donhead St Mary, from its junction with Charlton Lane North for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out excavation and install two HV ducts and associated works. Alternative route via Charlton Lane (unaffected length) – The Street – A30 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 24 March 2025 and the closure will be required until 29 March 2025. G: Lower Street (Part), Fittleton, from its property known as No.321 Lower Street for a distance of approximately 60m in a south easterly direction to enable Wateight Management Ltd to carry out new portable connection and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 24 March 2025 and the closure will be required until 04 April 2025. H: UC 912203 (Part), Donhead St Andrew, from its property known as Berry Stone to its junction with Ashcombe Lane to enable Openreach to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route via UC 912203 (unaffected length) – C312 – C12 – Back Lane – Blind Lane – Easton Hollow – Ox Drove – Ferne Hollow and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 March 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. I: The Hollow (Part), Shrewton, from its property known as Tilbrook House for a distance of approximately 125m in a westerly direction to enable Wessex Internet to carry out excavation and installation of new ducting and connection works for Wessex Internet. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 27 March 2025 and the closure will be required until 28 March 2025. J: C64 (Part), Wylye, from its junction with Dinton Road to its property known as Beer Ash to enable Network Rail to carry out vegetation clearance, strimming and associated works. Alternative route via C64 (unaffected length) – A36 – C277 – A303 – C10 – C64 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 March 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 23:30 and 05:30 until 30 March 2025. THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (SALISBURY) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING, PROHIBITION OF STOPPING, TAXI RANK CLEARWAYS AND ON STREET PARKING) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2024 (AMENDMENT NO.1) ORDER 2025

(Previously advertised as The County of Wiltshire (Salisbury) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Taxi Rank Clearways and On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2013 (Amendment No.32) Order 2024)

Notice is hereby given that on 12 March 2025 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 to amend the restrictions in the Salisbury Consolidation Order 2024 the effect of which will be to revoke Map Schedule Nos. U82 and K82 dated 5 August 2024 and replace them by the insertion of revised Map Schedule Nos. U82 and K82 dated 24 March 2025 for administrative purposes.

2. PEDESTRIAN CROSSING – CHURCHFIELDS ROAD, SALISBURY

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Traffic Regulation Act 1984 confirms the installation of a Zebra Crossing on Churchfields Road, Salisbury from a point 5 metres east of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 13 and 14 Churchfields Road to a point 19 metres east of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 19 and 20 Churchfields Road. This pedestrian crossing will replace any existing restrictions currently in force in the city of Salisbury.

A copy of the Order can be obtained via email request to TrafficOrders@wiltshire.gov.uk. Any person aggrieved by the Order or desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 24 March 2025.
