Shropshire - Various Road Traffic Restrictions

SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S -
PUBLIC NOTICES OF INTENTION

NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“the Council”) intend, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of road/s as stated below. The Order/s for restriction is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. There are exceptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to
any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below. It is intended that the proposed restriction/s will come into force on the 31st March 2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is expected the Order will
only be operative for the duration as stated in below.

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4387 Between Westbury And Halfway House
Date & Duration: 6th April 2025 from 21:30 to 06:25 7th April 2025
Purpose: Road Closure - Network Rail, level crossing maintenance.
Alternative Route : A458, A5, B4386, B4397

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Bearstone Road, Woore
Date & Duration: 4th April 2025 between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Tree trimming
Alternative Route : A51, B5026, Bearstone Road


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Clee Hill Road, Burford
Date & Duration: 2nd April 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent water-remedial works-To rectify reinstatement of sinking iron work defect
Alternative Route : A456, A49., A4117, B4214


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Eastwick Lane, Dudleston Heath
Date & Duration: 3rd April 2025 from 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Work on overhead pole.
Alternative Route : A528, Caegoody Lane, B5068, Eastwick Lane


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Manor House Lane, Whitchurch
Date & Duration: 2nd April 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Boundary Box Install
Alternative Route : Manor House Lane, A41, Unnamed road South West, Green Lane

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Oakfield Park, Much Wenlock
Date & Duration: 31st March 2025 for 33 days
Purpose: Road closure-Cadent -Gas mains replacement works
Alternative Route : Oakfield Park


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using A488 Hope
Date & Duration: 31st March 2025 for 5 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Road Closure to enable vegetation clearance and drainage investigation.
Alternative Route : Light traffic : A488, A489, A49, A5, A488 ; HGV traffic : A488, A4113, A49


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using A528 Burlton to Cockshutt
Date & Duration: 2nd April 2025 for 2 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Multevo carriageway repairs to include kerbing, sign posts and iron works.
Alternative Route : A528, A5112, A49, A41, A525, A495, A528


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road Hopesay to Aston on Clun
Date & Duration: 31st March 2025 for 5 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Capital resurfacing scheme
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North towards Edgton, Unnamed road West, B4385, B4368


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Cross Street, Shrewsbury at the same
time the One Way order will be rescinded on Chester Street
Date & Duration: 31st March 2025 for 33 nights between 20:00 to 06:00, the suspension of one way
order will be 24 hours
Purpose: Road Closure of Cross Street as part of the Station Quarter public realm works.
Alternative Route : Ellesmere Road, A5124, Battlefield Road, Whitchurch Road, A5191 or Telford Way (A5112), Old Potts Way, English Bridge, Wyle Cop, High Street, Shoplatch, Bellstone, Barker Street, Smithfield Road


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Romsley Lane Alveley
Date & Duration: 4th April 2025 for 10 days
Purpose: Road closure-Severn Trent Water-embankment reinstatement
Alternative Route : A442, Romsley Lane


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road Between Little Ness
And Great Ness
Date & Duration: 31st March 2025 for 3 nights between 20:00 to 06:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Freedom Fibre, cabling and reactive civil works.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South West, Little Ness Road, Unnamed road North East


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Little Ness And Milford
Date & Duration: 3rd April 2025 for 7 nights between 20:00 to 06:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Freedom Fibre, cabling and reactive civil works.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South East through Broomfields towards Forton, Unnamed road
North East through Forton Heath, Unnamed road North West through Yeaton, Unnamed road South West through Milford


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Rowton and Stoney Stretton
Date & Duration: 5th April 2025 from 22:00 to 09:40 6th April 2025
Purpose: Road Closure - Network Rail,. level crossing maintenance.
Alternative Route : A458, B4387, B4386, Unnamed road North and North West


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road north of Spoonley, off A529
Date & Duration: 2nd April 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure - Meter Service
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North, Unnamed road East, A529, Unnamed road West through Spoonley, Unnamed road North West


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Upper Galdeford, Ludlow
Date & Duration: 6th April 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water-Remedial works
Alternative Route : Upper Galdeford, Lower Galdeford, Weeping Cross Lane, Temeside, Old Street, Bull Ring, Corve Street, Station Drive


Description of restriction: No entry will be suspended High Street junction of Postern Gate,
Bridgnorth to allow access for Cartway residents
Date & Duration: 6th April 2025 between 09:00 to 15:00
Purpose: Bridgnorth Vintage Tractor Run
Alternative Route : Not applicable


Description of restriction: Pedestrians will be prohibited from using Footpath Connecting Monkmoor Road and Clifford Street, Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 31st March 2025 for 366 days
Purpose: Footpath Closure - Shropshire homes, works in connection with housing development site.
Alternative Route : Clifford Street, Bishops Street, Monkmoor Road



Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Vicarage Bank, Alveley
Date & Duration: 6th April 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-Replace decayed poles
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North, East and South via The Butter Cross



Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Wyken and B4176
Date & Duration: 1st April 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-Road closure required for the safe access of laying 2m of duct.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road East, A454, B4176


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B5009 Chirk Road, Gobowen
Date & Duration: 14th April 2025 for 10 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Multevo carriageway repairs to include kerbing, sign posts and iron works.
Alternative Route : B5009, B5069, A5
