What is happening?

(Heol Neuadd Y Ddinas A Rhodfa’r Brenin Edward VII) (Cau Ffyrdd Dros Dro) 2025 

Ar 19 Mawrth 2025, gwnaeth Cyngor Sir Dinas a Sir Caerdydd wrth arfer ei bwerau o dan adrannau 14(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd), a’r holl bwerau galluogi eraill, Orchymyn a fydd yn gwahardd cerbydau rhag defnyddio neu fynd ar hyd:


I. Heol Neuadd y Ddinas o'r gyffordd â Rhodfa'r Amgueddfa i'r gyffordd â Rhodfa'r Brenin Edward VII 

II. Rhodfa'r Brenin Edward VII o’r gyffordd â Heol Neuadd y Ddinas i’r pen caeëdig gerllaw Boulevard de Nantes

Mae'r Gorchymyn hwn yn angenrheidiol i hwyluso gwaith ar y briffordd neu gerllaw iddi a daw i rym ddydd Gwener 21 Mawrth 2025 a disgwylir iddo fod mewn grym tan ddydd Sul 23 Mawrth 2025 neu nes bydd y gwaith wedi'i gwblhau.

Dim ond ar yr adegau ac i’r graddau a nodir ar arwyddion a/neu hysbysiadau sy’n cael eu harddangos y bydd y cyfyngiad dan sylw ar waith. Bydd y Gorchymyn yn parhau ar waith am hyd at 18 mis.

Bydd y llwybr amgen i gerbydau yr effeithir arnynt gan y gorchymyn cau hwn trwy Heol Gerddi’r Orsedd, Rhodfa’r Amgueddfa, Heol y Coleg a Rhodfa'r Brenin Edward VII.

Enw'r Gorchymyn yw “Gorchymyn Cyngor Sir Dinas a Sir Caerdydd (Heol Neuadd y Ddinas a Rhodfa’r Brenin Edward VII, Caerdydd) (Cau Ffyrdd Dros Dro) 2025”.

The County Council Of The City And County Of Cardiff
(City Hall Road And King Edward VII Avenue) (Temporary Road Closures) Order 2025

On the 19th March 2025, The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), and of all other enabling powers, made an Order the general effect of which is to prevent any vehicle from using or proceeding along:

I. City Hall Road from its junction with Museum Avenue to its junction with King Edward VII Avenue

II. King Edward VII Avenue from its junction with City Hall Road to its closed end near Boulevard De Nantes 

This Order is necessary to facilitate works on or near to the highway and will come into operation on Friday 21st March 2025 and is expected to be in operation until Sunday 23rd March 2025 or until works are complete.

The restriction specified will only have the effect at such times and to such extent as indicated by the display of signs and/or notices. 

The Order will remain in force for a maximum of 18 months.

The alternative route for vehicles affected by the above closures will be via Gorsedd Gardens Road, Museum Avenue, College Road and King Edward VII Avenue.

This Order is known as “The County Council of The City and County of Cardiff (City Hall Road and King Edward VII Avenue, Cardiff) (Temporary Road Closures) Order 2025”.
