Gloucestershire, Temporary Road & Footpath Closures Due To Installation & Construction Works
What is happening?
GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF 400702 HIGH STREET ACCESS ROAD (MORETON IN MARSH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400702 High Street Access Road from outside the property known as 'Redesdale Hall' to its junction with Corders Lane for a distance of approximately 50 metres. The reason for the said closure is for the installation of a new Clock Tower.
The said road is expected to be closed between 07:00hrs and 17:00hrs on 9th April 2025 and between 07:00hrs and 17:00hrs from 23rd April until 24th April only or until the said works have been completed. Alternative Route - as signed on site. Pedestrian access to premises on or next to the road, and emergency access, will not be maintained as the mobile crane will be across the full width of the road.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH HMM 8 (MORETON IN MARSH TOWN) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath HMM 8 in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 250 metres.
The said public footpath falls within Moreton in Marsh in the Cotswold District, within the County of Gloucestershire. The said closure is necessary to safeguard the public whilst construction and drainage works are completed. The said public footpath is expected to be closed between 8th April 2025 and 8th October 2025 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closure is in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site 2 weeks prior to any closure taking effect.
Alternative Route - as indicated on the Order Map by a dash black line marked A to B. Emergency access and pedestrian access to adjoining properties will be maintained.
