(Westhampnett: Kennel Hill Road) (Temporary 30MPH Speed Limit) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from travelling at a speed exceeding 30MPH on Kennel Hill Road from the New Road roundabout junction northwards for a distance of 650M.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst carriageway works are undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 7 April 2025 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. The reduced speed limit is expected to be in force until 7 May 2025.

(Felpham: Flansham Lane) (Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit waiting at any time on both sides of Flansham Lane in Felpham, from its junction with Summerhill Drive to its junction with Virginia Gardens.

This restriction is needed to maintain safety while temporary traffic lights are in place during works to install new telecommunications cables.

The Order will come into effect on 7 April 2025 and remain in force until 18 April 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Petworth: A272, A283 & Various Roads) 

(20MPH, 30MPH And 50MPH Speed Limit) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that in exercise of their powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, WSCC, made a permanent Order the effect of which will be to introduce:-

(i)    a 20MPH speed limit on lengths of A272 Pound Street, A283 Angel Street, A283 Church Street, A283 East Street, A283 Market Square, A283 New Street, A283 North Street, A283

Park Road, A283 Saddlers Row, Barton Lane, Damers Bridge, Grove Street, High Street, Lombard Street, Middle Street, Orchard Close, Rosemary Lane, Sheepdown Close and Sheepdown Drive; and

(ii)   a 30MPH speed limit on a length of A283 Angel Street; and (iii) a 50MPH speed limit on a length of A283 London Road The Order will come into operation on 24 March 2025.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirements of the act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from 20 March 2025, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Chichester: A259 Cathedral Way & Adjoining Roads)
(Restricted Road & 40MPH Speed Limit Consolidation) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that in exercise of their powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, WSCC, made a permanent Order the effect of which will be to reduce the speed limit from 60MPH to 30MPH on the A259 Cathedral Way.

The Order will come into operation on 24 March 2025.

Paper copies of documents will not be available to view in council offices or libraries. People without access to a computer who wish to have a copy of the Order should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive a copy by post.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirements of the act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from 20 March 2025, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

((Chichester) (Parking Places And Traffic Regulation) (Consolidation) Order 2010)
(Nursery Green Amendment) Order 202*

NOTICE is hereby given that in exercise of their powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, WSCC, propose to make a permanent Order the effect of which will be to introduce:-

(i)    lengths of prohibition of waiting (double yellow lines) on Nursery Green in and arounds the junctions with the B2133 and Blackhall Meadow, on sections of both sides of Nursery Green between the B2133 and the 90˚ bend north-west of Blackhall Meadow and, on both sides of sections of Blackhall Meadow; and

(ii)   Introduce a loading bay for Goods Vehicles only at any time in the lay by on the southern side of Nursery Green west of the junction with the B2133.

(Fittleworth: A283 The Fleet) (30MPH & 40MPH Speed Limit) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to introduce a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to reduce the speed limit to 30MPH on a length of the A283 The Fleet through Fittleworth village and to introduce a 40MPH buffer on the A283 westbound approach to the village
