  1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46 and 124 of Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

  2. The general effect of orders will be to introduce:

(a) School Street SS15 – St Francis de Sales RC Infant and Junior Schools: Timed pedestrian and cycle zone in which motor vehicles, except for local buses and those issued a permit, would be prohibited from entering, Mon-Fri 8:15-9:30 am & 2:30-4:45 pm during school term times and when the appropriate signs are on display on the following roads:

Church Road N17From its junction with High Road to the railway overbridge.
James Place N17Entire length between Church Road and Kings Road.
Those eligible for permits include properties and residents of 1-43 James Place N17 (odd); 6-8 James Place N17 (even); Chicken & Pizza (London) Ltd, 34 Church Road N17; Army Cadet Force and Air Training Centre, James Place N17; St Francis De Sales RC School, Church Road N17; Caretakers House, St Francis De Sales RC School, Church Road N17; The Furniture Shop, 42 Church Road N17; Cox’s Café, 38 Church Road N17; Red Sea Exotic Foods Ltd, 40 Church Road N17; Flat 1-12 St Francis House, 38 Church Road N17 (all); 1-3 Kings Road N17 (odd); 26-62 Church Road N17 (even); 1-13 Brereton House, Orchard Place N17; 107 High Road N17; Medical practitioners attending those residing in the zone, disabled badge holders who reside outside the zone but require essential access, and school buses and vehicles used in the transport of children and adults with special access needs in relation to St Francis De Sales RC School within the zone. All vehicles will be allowed to exit the zone whilst it is in operation.

(b) School Street Zone SS48 – Bounds Green Junior and Infant Schools: Timed pedestrian and cycle zone in which motor vehicles, except for those issued a permit, would be prohibited from entering, Mon-Fri 8:30-9:30 am & 3-4 pm during school term times and when the appropriate signs are on display on the following roads:

Bounds Green Road N11For its entirety - From its junction with Park Road to the junction (slip road access to the Palace Road/Bounds Green Road N11 main carriageway).
Those eligible for permits include properties and residents of Park Road N11 (all properties); Bounds Green Road N11 (all properties); Medical practitioners attending those residing in the zone, disabled badge holders who reside outside the zone but require essential access, and school buses and vehicles used in the transport of children and adults with special access needs in relation to Bounds Green Junior & Infant Schools within the zone. All vehicles will be allowed to exit the zone whilst it is in operation.

(c) School Street Zone SS54 – Coldfall Primary School: Timed pedestrian and cycle zones in which motor vehicles, except for those issued a permit, would be prohibited from entering, Mon-Fri 8:30-9:15 am & 2:45-3:30 pm during school term times and when the appropriate signs are on display on the following roads:

Those eligible for permits include properties and residents of Everington Road N10 (all properties); Hill Road N10 (all properties); Steeds Road N10 (all properties); Barrenger Road N10 (all properties); Marriott Road N10 (all properties); Coldfall Primary School N10; No.41, 43, 113, 115 Coppetts Road N10; Medical practitioners attending those residing in the zone, disabled badge holders who reside outside the zone but require essential access, and school buses and vehicles used in the transport of children and adults with special access needs in relation to Coldfall Primary School within the zone. All vehicles will be allowed to exit the zone whilst it is in operation.

(d) School Street Zone SS55 – Welbourne Primary School: Timed pedestrian and cycle zone in which motor vehicles, except for those issued a permit, would be prohibited from entering, Mon-Fri 8:30-9:15 am & 2:30-3:45 pm during school term times and when the appropriate signs are on display on the following roads:

Those eligible for permits include properties and residents of Stainby Road N15 (all properties); Montague Road N15 (all properties); Saltram Close N15 (all properties); No.107, 109, 149, 151 Antill Road N15; No.1 to 6 Chalgrove House 320A, High Road N15; No.1 to 12 Mulberry House 320B, High Road N15; No.62 Montague Road N17; Welbourne Primary School N15; Medical practitioners attending those residing in the zone, disabled badge holders who reside outside the zone but require essential access, and school buses and vehicles used in the transport of children and adults with special access needs in relation to Welbourne Primary School within the zone. All vehicles will be allowed to exit the zone whilst it is in operation.

A copy of the proposed Orders, a copy of this notice, and a copy of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders may be inspected during normal office hours at Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR from the date of this notice until the expiry of six weeks from when the Orders are made.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders or make other representations should send their objections in writing to traffic.orders@haringey.gov.uk quoting reference 2024-T44, by 9 April 2025.
