What is happening?

EAST AYRSHIRE COUNCIL

(B741, New Cumnock) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025

On 18 March 2025 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, to allow Demolition and reconstruction of 2 BT chambers.

Temporary Road Closure – B741, New Cumnock

For 80m from junction Afton Road to A76.

The Order commences on 01 April 2025 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 01 April 2025 at 06:00 with the closure remaining in place until 28 April 2025 at 18:00.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected.

Access for residents and deliveries out-with the working zone will be maintained via diversion route.

An alternative route will be signed via A76 - Dettingen Roundabout - A70 - B7046 - B730 - A713 - B741 and vice versa.
