What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM (VALENCE AVENUE, DAGENHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE OF MAKING

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate the installation of a new telecoms mast, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham has made a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

  2. The order is expected to come into effect on Thursday 10 April 2025.

    The works expected for:

    • The installation of a new telecoms mast to take 3 days to complete. Completion date estimated as Saturday 12 April 2025, with the work expected to be undertaken between the hours of:

      • 10.00pm Thursday 10 April 2025 to 5.00am Friday 11 April 2025

      • 10.00pm Friday 11 April 2025 to 5.00am Saturday 12 April 2025

    However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

  3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed, the Order will temporarily:

    • Prohibit all vehicular traffic on Valence Avenue, east side, from its junction with Kemp Road for a distance of 20.6 metres in a northerly direction.

    • Prohibit all vehicular traffic (except for access) on Valence Avenue, east side, from its junction with Freshwater Road to a point 20.6 metres north of its junction with Kemp Road.

    • Suspend the Resident Permit Holders Only Zone CH (Mon-Fri 8.30am-5.30pm) bay on Valence Avenue, east side, from a point 13.5 metres north of its junction with Kemp Road for 7.2 metres in a northerly direction.

  4. Alternative routes for vehicular traffic will be maintained and signed:

    • Via Burnside Road and Mayfield Road.
