Mercaston Lane - Temporary Road Closure For Fibre Cabling

What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE MERCASTON LANE, MERCASTON

WHEN: 24 March to 28 March 2025 (between 08:00 to 17:00 each day).
WHERE: Mercaston Lane, Mercaston between Alder Lane jct. and entrance to School House Farm.
REASON: To facilitate fibre cabling.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Mercaston Lane, New Road, Church Lane, Green Lane, Bullhurst Lane, Mugginton Lane End, Highfield Lane, Cross O The Hands, Intakes Lane, Smith Hall Lane and vice versa.

Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
