Notice is hereby given that Northumberland County Council, in exercise of the powers conferred under sections 1 to 4, 32, 35, 45 and 46, 61 and 64 (as appropriate) and Part IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other powers so enabling, have made the above-named Order.
The effect of the Order, which will come into force on the 24th March 2025 will be to vary the “Northumberland County Council (Waiting, Loading & Parking Places) (Map Based) Consolidation Order 2024” to remove the following parking restrictions:
1) To remove the taxi rank on Bondgate Within, Alnwick
The effect of the Order, which will come into force on the 24th March 2025, will be to vary the “Northumberland County Council (Waiting, Loading & Parking Places) (Map Based) Consolidation Order 2024” by introducing the following parking restrictions:
2) No Waiting at Any Time on:
Commercial Road in Spittal
Meadow Lane, Swinhoe Road and The Wynding in Beadnell
Front Street, Sea Lane and U3014 Dunstan Square to Embleton Links in Embleton;
Queens Road, Victoria Crescent and York Road in Alnwick;
Dial Place in Warkworth
An extension to the current “No Waiting at Any Time” restriction on Bisley Road, Amble
Acklington Road in Amble
Front Street, Hall Hill Cottages and Rothbury Road in Longframlington;
3) A Disc Parking Zone also known as a disc holders parking place will apply Monday-Saturday between the hours of 8am-6pm, 2 hours maximum stay, with no return within 3 hours, on Bondgate Within, Alnwick.
The restrictions can also be viewed in map format, as the maps form part of the map-based schedule to the Order. A copy of the Order, together with the maps that form part of the Schedule to the Order and any other relevant documents, notices or Orders as appropriate as well as a Statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order are available to view or download on the NCC Website:

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any of the provisions contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made apply to the High Court for that purpose.
