What is happening?

(AMENDMENT NO. 31) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that on the 19th day of March 2025 the
City of Doncaster Council made an Order under the provisions
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.
The effect of the Order that will come into operation on the 7th
day of April 2025 will be to revoke the following item in
Schedule 1.12 Prohibition of Driving except for access
QUEEN STREET From a point 37 metres northwest of its
junction with St. Catherine’s Avenue for a distance of 97
metres in a north westerly direction
A copy of the Order and a map showing the restricted roads
may be examined at the Council Offices, Civic Office,
Waterdale, Doncaster between 8.45 a.m. and 4.45 p.m.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any of the
provisions contained therein on the grounds that it is not within
the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act,
1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of
any instrument made under it has not been complied with in
relation to the Order you may within six weeks from the 19th
day of March 2025 apply to the High Court for this purpose.

A638 WAKEFIELD ROAD HAMPOLE DONCASTER
INTRODUCTION OF 40MPH SPEED LIMIT
TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY
RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council
intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to
make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being or
proposed to be executed on or near the road and the effect
will be to prohibit any vehicle from exceeding the 40mph
speed limit on the A638 Wakefield Road at Hampole in the City
of Doncaster District as described in the Schedule to this
notice on the dates and times referred to in the said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public
and the workforce whilst works to carriageway maintenance
are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that there is no alternative route for
vehicles affected by the Order.

The Proposed Order will continue in force up to and including
the 30th day of September 2025 or until the works which it is
proposed to carry out in or near the said road have been
completed, whichever is the earlier.
SCHEDULE
Location
Introduce a 40mph speed limit on the A638 Wakefield Road,
Hampole from a point 1098 meter south west of its junction
with Leys Lane to a point 126 meters west of its junction with
Hampole Field Lane.
Dates and Times
On or after 1st April 2025 until 31st August 2025.
The temporary speed limit will take place on up to 3 separate
occasions, with each occasion lasting no longer than 5
consecutive days, between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs.
The works will be undertaken in phases and the reduced
speed limit will only be in force during those occasions within
periods specified in the order and when the appropriate speed
limit signs are displayed.
In the event of engineering difficulties and/or adverse weather
conditions, the closure may extend beyond this date although
all closures to be completed by the 30th September 2025.
COCKHILL FIELD LANE BRAITHWELL DONCASTER
PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC/PEDESTRIANS
TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY
RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council
intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to
make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being or
proposed to be executed on or near the road and the effect
will be to prohibit any vehicle/pedestrian from proceeding in
that length of Cockhill Field Lane at Braithwell in the City of
Doncaster District as described in the Schedule to this notice
on the dates and times referred to in the said Schedule
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce whilst works to install fibre cabling are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles/
pedestrians affected by the Order is via Doncaster Road,
Austwood Lane, Willow Crescent.

TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY
RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council
intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to
make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being or
proposed to be executed on or near the road and the effect
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length of
Church Lane at Tickhill in the City of Doncaster District as
described in the Schedule to this notice on the dates and
times referred to in the said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce whilst works to renew a stop tap and chamber
are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles
affected by the Order is via Church Lane, Pinfold Lane,
Rawson Road, Westgate.

Blaxton for a distance of 2832 meters.

The temporary speed limit will take place on up to 3 separate
occasions, with each occasion lasting no longer than 5
consecutive days, between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs
The works will be undertaken in phases and the reduced
speed limit will only be in force during those occasions within
periods specified in the order and when the appropriate speed
limit signs are displayed.
In the event of engineering difficulties and/or adverse weather
conditions, the closure may extend beyond this date although
all closures to be completed by the 31st August 2025.
