Zion Hill - Temporary Road Closure For Excavation Works
What is happening?

Parish of Shepton Mallet Temporary Closure of Zion Hill
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Zion Hill - from the junction with Rectory Road, north-westwards for a total distance of 33 metres.
This Order will enable Nexifibre to carry out excavation works to build 3 chambers and lay duct to connect multiple chambers.
The Order becomes effective on 3rd April 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months.
The works are expected to commence on 10th April 2025 and last until 30th April 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 21 days.
