NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Ermine Street North & Church Lane, Papworth Everard Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-568

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ermine Street North & Church Lane, Papworth Everard as lies between North Lodge Drive & Elm Way. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via Ermine St South; Papworth Everard Bypass; Ermine St North & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate signal refurbishment & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 21/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 20/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Appletrees, Bar Hill Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-564 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Appletrees, Bar Hill as lies between No. 94 & Saxon Way; all of cul de sac respectively. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 28/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 27/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Mowbray Road, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-563

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Mowbray Road, Cambridge as lies between Queen Ediths Way & Perne Road. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via A1134; A603; A1307; A1134 & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical cable pulling & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 21/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 20/10/26 whichever is the earlier. 

Milton Footpath 2, Milton Temporary Prohibition of Use – Order 2025-557
Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Milton Footpath 2, Milton
as lies between Wildfowl Cottage & Cam Conservators. 

The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. 

The proposed Order is necessary in the interests of safety due to concerns over safety & structural integrity & it will come into operation on 29/3/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 28/9/25 whichever is the earlier.

Footpath off Appletrees, Bar Hill Temporary Prohibition of Use – Order 2025-531

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Footpath off Appletrees, Bar Hill as lies between Appletrees & Saxon Way. 

The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 28/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 27/10/25 whichever is the earlier.

Waterbeach Footpath 18, Waterbeach Temporary Prohibition of Use – Order 2025-561

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Waterbeach Footpath 18, Waterbeach as lies 20m either side of the footbridge. 

The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate safety reasons due to structural integrity of the footbridge works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 27/3/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 26/9/25 whichever is the earlier.

Horseheath Road, Linton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-565

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Horseheath Road, Linton as lies between No. 1 & Wheatsheaf. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via A1307; Bartlow Rd & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 14/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 13/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

The Cinques & Cinques Road, Gamlingay Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-448

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along The Cinques & Cinques Road, Gamlingay as lies between Drove Road & Elizabeth Way. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via Cinques Rd; B1040; Drove Rd & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 16/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 15/10/26 whichever is the earlier. 

Access will be maintained to properties affected by this order.

London Road, Fowlmere Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2024-471 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along London Road, Fowlmere as lies between Chapel Lane & Pipers Close. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1368; A505; A10 & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage investigation & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 22/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 21/10/26 whichever is the earlier. 

Trinity Street, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Trinity Street & St Johns Street, Cambridge
Temporary Revocation of One-Way Traffic Order – Order 2025-511

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Trinity Street, Cambridge as lies between St Johns Street & Market Street. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area Z (Consolidation) Order 1991 as amended by The City of Cambridge Area Z (Consolidation) Order 1991 (Amendment No. 11) Order 1995, Schedule 6 – One Way Streets Trinity Street – From north to south is hereby suspended. 

During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area Z (Consolidation) Order 1991 as amended by the City of Cambridge Area Z (Consolidation) Order 1991 (Amendment No. 11) Order 1995, Schedule 6: One Way Streets: Part 1 roads & parts of roads in which all vehicles are prohibited to proceed except in the direction specified, St Johns Street (from the south kerb line of the access to St John’s College to its junction with Trinity Street) from north to south is hereby suspended. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via Senate House Hill; Kings Parade; Trumpington St; A1134; A1303; Victoria Ave; Jesus Ln; Park St; Round Church St & St Johns St. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate heat pump ducting & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 15/9/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 14/3/27 whichever is the earlier. Access will be maintained to properties affected by this order.

Hauxton Road, Little Shelford Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-382

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Hauxton Road, Little Shelford as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via High St, Hauxton; Church Rd; A10; B1368; Shelford Rd, Harston; Newton Rd, Little Shelford & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 1/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 30/9/26 whichever is the earlier.

High Street C233, Cambridge Temporary Suspension of Cycle Lane – Order 2025-385

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on High Street C233, Cambridge as lies between Mill End Cl & Chequers Cl. 

During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area E (Consolidation) Order 1993: Schedule 23 Cycle Lane: Part 3 mandatory with flow-cycle lane in which loading is permitted High Street, Cherry Hinton on its west side from a point 28 metres north of the centreline of Mill End Road to a point 14 metres south of the centreline of Colville Road High Street, Cherry Hinton on its east side from a point 28 metres north of the centreline of Mill End Road to a point 21 metres south of the centreline of Colville Road is hereby suspended. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate Water supply disconnection & associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane & it will come into operation on 7/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 6/10/26 whichever is the earlier. 

This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place are in progress.

King Street, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-386

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along King Street, Cambridge as lies between Malcolm St & Manor St. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via Malcolm St; Jesus Ln; Manor St. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 7/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 6/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Cambridge Road A1301, Great Shelford Temporary Suspension of Cycle Lane – Order 2025-387

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Cambridge Road A1301, Great Shelford as lies between No. 181 and Red Hill Cl. During the period this Order remains in force the Cambridgeshire County Council (Cambridge Road & High Green, Great Shelford) (Mandatory With-Flow Cycle Lane) Order 1993. 

Mandatory with flow cycle lane: Cambridge Road, Great Shelford north east side from its junction with Shelford Road, Cambridge south-eastwards to a point 83 metres southeast of its junction with Westfield Road, & from a point 268m south-east of its junction with Westfield Road, south-eastwards to its junction with Davey Crescent, Great Shelford is hereby suspended. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane & it will come into operation on 7/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 6/9/26 whichever is the earlier. 

This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place are in progress. 

Fen Ditton Bridleway 17, Fen Ditton Temporary Prohibition of Use – Order 2025-393

Is to stop any vehicle, cyclist, pedestrian & equestrian from proceeding along Fen Ditton Bridleway 17, Fen Ditton as lies between Greenhouse Farm & Orchard House. 

The alternative route for vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians & equestrians will be as signed. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate development & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 29/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 28/10/25 whichever is the earlier.

High Street C233, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic & Temporary Suspension of Cycle Lane – Order 2024-397

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street C233, Cambridge as
lies between No’s. 91 & 107. During the period this Order remains in force
The City of Cambridge Area E (Consolidation) Order 1993; Schedule 23, Part
3 Mandatory with flow cycle lane in which loading is permitted. 

High Street, Cherry Hinton on its west side from a point 14 metres north of the centreline of Fisher’s Lane to a point 63 metres south of the centreline of Fernlea Close. 

High Street, Cherry Hinton on its east side from a point 18 metres north of the centreline of Fisher’s Lane to a point 59 metres south of the centreline of Fernlea Close is hereby suspended. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via High St C233; Fulbourn Rd; Yarrow Rd, Fulbourn; Yarrow Rd, Teversham; Gazelle Way; Cherry Hinton Rd C233; Teversham Drift C233, Cambridge & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate relay lead supply & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 8/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 7/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Parker Street, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-399 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Parker Street, Cambridge as lies between Emmanuel Rd & Clarendon St. The alternative route for vehicles is via Parker St; Emmanuel Rd; Short St; Four Lamps Roundabout; Maids Causeway; Newmarket Rd; A1134; A603; Parkside & vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate fire hydrant repair & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 14/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 13/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

West Street, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-400 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along West Street, Cambridge as lies between Stephen Hawking Building & A1134. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via A1134; Sidgwick Ave; Grange Rd; West Rd & vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water reinstatement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 15/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 14/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Huntingdon Road A1307, Cambridge Temporary Suspension of Cycle Lane – Order 2025-401

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Huntingdon Road A1307, Cambridge as lies between Benson St & Buckingham Rd. 

During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993; Schedule 23: Part 2 Mandatory with flow cycle lane; Huntingdon Road on its northeast side from a point 50 metres north of its junction with Histon Road to its junction with Halifax Road is hereby suspended The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate fire hydrant repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane & it will come into operation on 1/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 30/9/26 whichever is the earlier. 

This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Huntingdon Road A1307, Cambridge are in progress.

High Street (B1052), Linton Temporary Revocation of One-Way Traffic Order Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-571

Is to suspend the one way Traffic Order along High Street (B1052), Linton as lies between Coles Lane and Balsham Road. During the period this Order remains in force CCC (High Street and Back Road, Linton) (One-way Traffic) Order 2006 is hereby suspended insofar as it affects High Street, from its junction with Balsham Road to a point 15 metres east of its junction with Coles Lane, from east to west. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage maintenance and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 7/4/25 and continue until these works have finished or on the 6/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Lode Road, Bottisham Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-509

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Lode Road, Bottisham as lies between B1103 & Longmeadow Road. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1102; Station Rd, Swaffham Bullbeck; High St; Park End; Park Rd, Bottisham; Tunbridge Ln; Lode Rd; High St; Bell Rd; A1303; B1102 & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footpath improvement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 28/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 17/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

High Street C282, Milton Temporary Suspension of Cycle Lane – Order 2025-412 

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on High Street C282, Milton as lies between Milton Court & Fen Rd. During the period this Order remains in force Cambridgeshire County Council (Cambridge Road, High Street & Ely Road, Milton) (Mandatory With-Flow Cycle Lane) Order 2000; Length of roads or sides of road in the District of South Cambridgeshire, Parish of Milton, Mandatory with-flow cycle lane; High Street, Milton: North-west side between points 23 metres & 78 metres north-east of the boundary between numbers 31 & 33 High Street. 

Direction: South west to north east is hereby suspended. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane & it will come into operation on 27/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 26/10/26 whichever is the earlier. 

This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on High Street C282, Milton are in progress.

Tunbridge Lane, Bottisham Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-414

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Tunbridge Lane, Bottisham as lies between The Pightle and Lysander Cl. The alternative route for vehicles is via Tunbridge Ln; High St; Lode Rd; B1102; High St, Swaffham Bulbeck; Park End; Park Rd, Bottisham and vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 14/04/25 and continue until these works have finished or on the 13/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along New Road, Histon & New Road, Oakington as lies between Cambridge Road & Park Lane. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via Park Ln, Histon – School Hill (C204) – School Hill – High St – The Green – B1049 – Rampton Rd, Cottenham – Oakington Rd – Oakington Rd, Westwick – Station Rd, Oakington – Water Ln – Cambridge Rd & Oakington Rd, Oakington – Oakington Rd, Girton – High St – Duck End – Church Ln – Hicks Ln – Cambridge Rd – Girton Rd – A1307 – A1134 – B1049 – The Green, Histon – High St – School Hill – School Hill (C204) & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate installation of 40mph terminal, lining refresh & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 7/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 6/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Tennis Court Road, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic, Temporary Suspension of Cycle Lane & Temporary Revocation of One-Way Traffic Order – Order 2025-455

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Tennis Court Road, Cambridge as lies between The Gurdon Institute & Lensfield Rd. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993: 

Schedule 23 Cycle Lane: Part 2 mandatory with flow-cycle lane. Tennis Court Road on its eastern side from its junction with Fitzwilliam Street to its junction with Lensfield Road. 

During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993: Schedule 6 One Way Streets, Tennis Court Road (from its junction with Lensfield Road to its junction with Fitzwilliam Street) from south to north is hereby suspended insofar as it affects Tennis Court Road as lies between its junctions with A603 & Fitzwilliam Street.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Lensfield Rd; Trumpington St; Pembroke St; Tennis Court Rd or Fitzwilliam St; Trumpington St; A603. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 14/04/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 13/10/26 whichever is the earlier. 

Pieces Terrace, Waterbeach Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-458

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Pieces Terrace, Waterbeach as lies between No’s 24 & 28.

The Order is made to facilitate duct installation & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 7/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 6/10/26 whichever is the earlier. 

The Green, Rampton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-462

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along The Green, Rampton as lies between Manor Farm & Cow Ln. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via Church Ed; Rampton Rd, Cottenham; B1049; Twenty Pence Rd; Twentypence Rd, Wilburton; High St; West Ed; Haddenham Rd; A1123, Haddenham; New Rd; Hop Row; A1123; West Ed; Hillrow; Hillrow Causeway; Shelford Rd, Willingham; Earith Rd; George St; High St; Berrycroft; Long Ln; Newington; Rampton Rd; High St, Rampton vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 7/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 6/10/25 whichever is the earlier.

Laburnum Lane & Newham Lane, Burwell Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2024-463
