WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL UNDER SECTION 14/1 OF
THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL)
INTENDS TO MAKE ORDERS AS FOLLOWING
(NEWBURY STREET AND STATION ROAD, LAMBOURN)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025

The Council has made an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Newbury Street in Lambourn between its junction with Tubbs Farm Close and its junction with Bodman Close and Station Road in Lambourn between its junction with St Agnes Terrace and its junction with Newbury Street. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order on Newbury Street is Oxford Street B4001, Mill Lane and vice versa. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order on Station Road is Edwards Hill, High Street B4001 and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for access required to drainage inspection chamber, located in the carriageway. The proposed Order will come into effect on 17th March 2025. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place on 17th March 2025.

(TEMPLETON ROAD, KINTBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025
The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Templeton Road in Kintbury between its junction with High Street and its junction with Inkpen Road.  The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Templeton Road, Inkpen Road,  Unnamed Road from Hungerford Road to Inkpen Road, Hungerford Road and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Gigaclear to undertake a new customer connection. The proposed Order will come into effect on 1st April 2025.  It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 1st and 2nd April 2025.

(BRIMPTON ROAD, BRIMPTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025
The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Brimpton Road in Brimpton from the railway bridge to its junction with Unnamed Road to Mill Cottage.  The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Brimpton Road, A4 Bath Road, Station Road, Wasing Road, Brimpton Lane, Brimpton Road and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for tree cutting works. The proposed Order will come into effect on 2nd April 2025. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place on 2nd April 2025.

(COOMBE ROAD, COMPTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025
The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Coombe Road in Compton between its junction with Newbury Road and its junction with Aldworth Road.  The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Newbury Road, Unnamed Road from Ilsley Road to Newbury Hill, Ilsley Road, High Street, School Road, Aldworth Road and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Thames Water to install new mains and service connections. The proposed Order will come into effect on 31st March 2025. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 31st March and 4th April 2025. Unless stated otherwise the above orders shall remain in force for a period of eighteen months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest, they will not take effect until approved traffic signs have been erected.
