WEST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(VARIOUS ROADS, MIDDLETON CHENEY)

(50MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order under Section 84 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed exceeding 50 mph along those lengths of roads specified in the Schedule below.

A COPY of the Order may be inspected at Kier Highways, Brixworth Depot, Old Harborough Road, Brixworth, Northants, NN6 9BX at a time and date specified by appointment only by calling 01604 529700. A copy of the Order can also be obtained on request by emailing WNCParkingenquiries@kier.co.uk

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for this purpose. The Order will become effective on 24th March 2025.

1.A422 (western arm) – from 26 metres west of the roundabout with the A422 to roundabout.

2.B4525 – from 692 metres south of the roundabout splitter islandto roundabout.

3.Mansion Hill – from 42 metres east of the roundabout splitter islandto roundabout.

4.A422 (eastern arm) – from 34 metres east of the roundabout splitter island to roundabout.

5.C100 Warkworth Road (southern arm) – from 30 metres south of the roundabout splitter island to roundabout.

6.A422/B4525 Banbury Lane/Mansion Hill roundabout – in its entirety.
