Cambridgeshire, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic

What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Chapel Road, Earith Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-395

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Chapel Road, Earith as lies between No. 24 & School Rd. The alternative route for vehicles is via Chapel Rd; Bridge End; A1123; B1050 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 15/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 14/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Sallowbush Road, Huntingdon Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-402

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Sallowbush Road, Huntingdon as lies between footpath from Sallowbush Rd to Bernard Cl & No.8. The alternative route for vehicles is via Sallowbush Rd; California Rd; Buttsgrove Way; Coneygear Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 7/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 6/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Old Court Hall, Godmanchester Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-405

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Old Court Hall, Godmanchester as lies between No. 35 & the B1043. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1043; Old Court Hall. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate stop tap replacement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 7/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 6/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Tinkers Lane, Sawtry Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic & Temporary Revocation Of One-Way Traffic Order – Order 2025-424

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Tinkers Lane, Sawtry as lies between No’s 35a & 39. During the period this Order remains in force The County of Huntingdon (Tinkers Lane, Sawtry) (One-Way) Order, 1963; Length of road in the Rural District of Huntingdon, Tinkers Lane, Sawtry from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Fen Lane. Westerly is hereby suspended. The alternative route for vehicles is via Church St; High St; The Green & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate tree maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 14/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 13/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Pinfold Lane, Godmanchester Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-450

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Pinfold Lane, Godmanchester as lies between New St & Causeway. The alternative route for vehicles is via Causeway; St Anns Ln; New St & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 29/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 28/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Miller Way, Brampton Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-470

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Miller Way, Brampton as lies between Burnaby Cl & Olivia Rd. The alternative route for vehicles is via West End; The Green; High St; Grove Ln; Miller Way & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate bus shelter installation & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 7/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 6/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Cambridge Villas, Godmanchester (Footpath) Temporary Prohibition Of Use – Order 2025-479

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Cambridge Villas, Godmanchester (Footpath) as lies between No. 52 & Ermine St. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate resurfacing damaged footway & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 7/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 6/10/25 whichever is the earlier.

Ramsey Hollow Drove, Ramsey Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-472

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ramsey Hollow Drove, Ramsey as lies between Oak Farm & Hadley. The alternative route for vehicles is via Long Drove; Hollow Rd; Ramsey Rd; Wood Ln; High St; Hollow Ln & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 29/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 28/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Spinney Way, St Ives Temporary Prohibition Of Use – Order 2025-569

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Spinney Way, St Ives as lies between All Saints Green & Ramsey Road. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footway slurry sealing & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 5/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/10/25 whichever is the earlier.

Coldhams Crescent, Huntingdon Temporary Prohibition Of Use – Order 2025-492

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Coldhams Crescent, Huntingdon as lies between No’s 39 & 54. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 22/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 21/10/25 whichever is the earlier.

Various Roads, West Division Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic & Temporary Revocation Of 7.5 Tonne Weight Limit & Temporary 30mph Speed Limit Order 2025-449

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access & egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedules 1, 2 & 3. The alternative routes are shown in Schedule 1. The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate signal controlled junction & associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 7/4/25 & will continue until these works have finished or on the 6/10/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedules. The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the speed limit along the whole or any part of the above-mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended.

Various Roads, West Division Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-570

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access & egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1. The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate footway slurry sealing & associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 5/4/25 & will continue until these works have finished or on the 4/10/25 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedule. Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders.

The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
