THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA ROAD 
TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 SCHEDULE I - SECTION 14 (1) (A)
VARIOUS ROADS - TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

I. The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea hereby give notice that to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and other highway related works they have made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily close to vehicular traffc or impose other restrictions on vehicular traffc in the sections of the streets as listed in paragraph II below except for access purposes where practicable. 
In addition, the alternative routes are also shown.

II. The works in the following streets will be carried out between the hours of 8.00 am and 6.00 pm on Saturdays or weekdays, 9.00 am and 6.00 pm on Sundays or 8.00 pm and 5am at nights, although the roads may be closed earlier to prevent build-up of vehicular traffc. 
It will be Metropolitan Police requirement, which will determine whether the closures should occur on weekdays or weekends or at nights. Each scheme will require between two or three days to complete. Directly affected residents will be given advance notice of commencement date of the works and closure as well as the likely duration of works.

Kings Road - WB - Full closure between Hobury Street to Shalcomb Street.
Alternative route via Westbound: Sydney Street, Fulham Road, Edith Grove, Kings Road. Eastbound: Edith Grove, Cremorne Road, Cheyne Walk Beaufort Street Kings Road.

Kings Road - EB - Full closure between Slaidburn Street - Past Langton Street/498.
Alternative route via West Bound: Sydney Street, Fulham Road, Edith Grove, Kings Road. East Bound: Edith Grove, Cremorne Road, Cheyne Walk Beaufort Street Kings Road.

Kings Road - EB - Full closure between Opp Bramerton Road to Oakley Street Including Junction.
Alternative route via Westbound: Sydney Street, Fulham Road, Edith Grove, Kings Road. Eastbound: Beaufort Street, Cheyne Walk, Royal Hospital Road, Lowers Sloane Street, Sloane Square, Kings Road. Kings Road - Full closure between Sydney Street to Flood Street.

West Bound: For Flood Street: West Bound - Royal Hospital Road, Chelsea Embankment, Cheyne Walk, Cremorne Road, Gunter Grove, Kings Road. For Flood Street: East Bound - Flood Street, Redesdale Street, Radnor Walk. To get in to Flood Street: Shawfeld Street, Redesdale Street, Flood Street.

Old Brompton Road - Full closure between Borough Boundary to Eardley Crescent.
Alternative route via Westbound: Old Brompton Road, Redcliffe Gardens, Fulham Road, Fulham Broadway, North End Road, Lillie Road. Eastbound: Lillie Road, North End Road, Fulham Broadway, Fulham Road, Finborough Road, Old Brompton Road.

Pembridge Road - Full closure between Dawson Place to portobello Road & Kensington Park Road (Roundabout).

•Notting Hill Gate: Prohibited left hand turn into Pembridge Road. Diverted traffc to use Notting Hill Gate (Eastbound), Palace Gardens Terrace, Kensington Mall, Kensington Church Street, Notting Hill Gate (Westbound), Ladbroke Grove, Westbourne Park Road, Chepstow Road, Pembridge Villas, Pembridge Road

•Portobello Road: To be closed and made two way from Chepstow Villas to Pembridge Road

•Pembridge Cresent: Remain closed, Diversion is Pembridge Cresent, Chepstow Villa, Kensington Park Road, Kensington Paek gardens, Ladbroke grove, HPA, Notting Hill Gate

Pembridge Square: SB: Pembridge Gardens, Notting Hill Gate, NB: Pembridge Square: Pembridge Place, Pembridge Villas. Chelsea Manor Street - Full closure between Britten Street to King’s Road.
Alternative route via Southbound: Britten Street, Sydney Street, Kings 
Road. Northbound: Kings Road, Sydney Street, Britten Street.

Wrights Lane - Full closure between Kensington high Street to Scarsdale Place.
Alternative route via Northbound: Diverted traffc to use Marloes Road, Cromwell Road, Gloucester Road, Palace Gate, Kensington Road, Kensington High Street, or Marloes Road, Abingdon Villas, Earl’s Court Road, Kensington High Street. Southbound: Diverted traffc to use Kensington High Street, Earl’s Court, Cromwell Road, Marloes Road.

Pembroke Road - Full closure between Warwick Road to Pembroke Gardens.
Alternative route via Eastbound diverted through traffc may use: Warwick Road, Kensington High Street, Warwick Gardens, Pembroke Road. At Nighttime between the hours of 22.30hrs until 07.00hrs, diverted through traffc may use, Warwick Road, Kensington High Street, Earl’s Court Road, Logan Place, Cromwell Crescent, Pembroke Road. Except for Buses and Council Vehicles. Westbound diverted through traffc may use: Pembroke Road, Earl’s Court Road, West Cromwell Road, Warwick Road. Except for Council Vehicles, and residents on Pembroke Road.

Allen Street - Full closure between Scarsdale Villas - Kensington High Street.
Alternative route via Southbound: Kensington High Street, Earls Court Road, Abingdon Villas, Northbound: Kensington High Street, Wright’s Lane, Marloes Road, Abingdon Villas. Adam and Eve Mews: ADAM and EVE MEWS follow diversion for Southbound.

Barlby Road - Full closure between Barlby Gardens to Dalgarno Gardens.
Alternative route via Diverted through traffc may use Ladbroke Grove, Bassett Road, St Marks Road, St Quintin Avenue, Barlby Road.

Alternative route via Diverted through traffc may use St Ann’s Road, St Ann’s Villas, RRRoyal Crescent, Holland Park Avenue, Ladbroke Grove, Cambridge Gardens, Bramley Road.

III. To facilitate the works being carried out the Order will ban waiting at any time in the sections of carriageway specifed above whilst the works are being carried out.

IV. The Order will come into effect on 28th March and under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act will continue in force until such time as the works are completed. It is anticipated the works will be undertaken and completed within eighteen months.

V. Nothing in this Notice shall apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a traffc warden.

VI. Nothing in this Notice shall apply to any vehicle being used in connection with the said works.
