What is happening?
Temporary Road Closure – Sway Road, New Milton, New Forest
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: That part of Sway Road between its junction with Brockhills Lane and its junction with Vaggs Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Fernhill Lane, Station Road, Lymington Road, Christchurch Road, Milford Road, Priestlands Place, Standford Hill, Passford Hill, Southampton Road.
DURATION OF ORDER: From Tuesday 1st April 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than Wednesday 2nd April 2025 and working between the hours 09:30-18:00).
