ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

(AMBLESIDE DRIVE, WALTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 64) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to carry out carriageway patching to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Ambleside Drive, Walton full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Ambleside Drive.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 24th March 2025 at 07.30 hours to 15.30 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(GEORGE STREET, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 65) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to allow crane operations to assemble & lift a heavy support beam into position to allow unsafe cladding to be removed to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: George Street, Wakefield at the junction with Kirkgate. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of George Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: George Street, Denby Dale Road, Ings Road, Kirkgate & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 22nd March 2025 to 23rd March 2025, one night between 19.30 hours to 07.30 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(SILCOATES STREET, WAKEFIELD) 

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 69) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for upgrade of underground electrical network to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Silocates Street, Wakefield, for approximately 65 meters. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Silocates Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Maple Street, Walnut Crescent, Blakey Road, Peacock Avenue and vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 26th March 2025 until 28th March 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(BRIDGE ROAD, HORBURY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 77) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for gas mains replacement works to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Bridge Road, Horbury 22 metres in front of the school, between the junction with St Johns Street and No. 200. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Bridge Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Car Diversion – Bridge Road, Bridge Road one way system, leading to Storrs Hill Road or back towards the school (Old Bridge Road). One way closure in place 24 hours. Special arrangements are being made for HGV movements into the builders merchants as the diversion route is not suitable.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 5th April 2025 to 20th April 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(WALKER AVENUE, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 78) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to excavate to locate faulted cable, test and repair by jointing in new cable and reinstate excavation to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Walker Avenue, Wakefield for approximately 30 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Walker Avenue.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Peacock Avenue, Walnut Crescent & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 7th April 2025 to 8th April 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(GEORGE STREET, NORMANTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 79) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for consequential damage repairs to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: George Street, Normanton for approximately 20 metres in the junction. George Street junction with Lee Brigg. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of George Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: George Street, High Street, Drury Lane, Lee Brigg & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 5th April 2025 at 08.00 hours to 6th April 2025 at 06.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(CROSS LANE, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 81) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to undertake cable laying and install EV charging points nearby to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Cross Lane, Wakefield. The road will be closed 24 hours to inbound traffic from Horbury Road. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Cross Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Horbury Road, Dewsbury Road, Manor Road, Cross Lane.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 7th April 2025 to 25th April 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(WALNUT CRESCENT, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO. 83) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for upgrade of the underground electrical network to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Walnut Crescent for approximately 70 meters. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Walnut Crescent.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Walker Avenue, Silcoates Street, Maple Street and vice versa

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 10th April 2025 at 08:00 hours until 11th April 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(SUNNYDALE ROAD, OSSETT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 85) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for new electrical connection works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Sunnydale Road, Ossett for approximately 25 meters. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Sunnydale Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 9th April 2025 at 08:00 hours until 10th April 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(CARR LANE, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 86) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for installation of a new water supply to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Carr Lane, Wakefield outside No.12 for approximately 4 meters. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Carr Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion. Pedestrian access maintained. Road plates on site to allow residents and emergency vehicles access.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including

9th April 2025 until 11th April 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
