What is happening?

BOROUGH OF TORBAY
(WILLOWFIELD ROAD, TORQUAY) (PART) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Torbay Council intends to make the above Order under the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect will be to prohibit vehicular traffic in part of Willowfield Road, between 14 and Beechfield House. There will be exemptions from the intended Order for vehicles used in emergency for police, fire or ambulance purposes, or used in connection with the works mentioned below, and for the conveyance of persons, goods or merchandise to or from any premises situated on or adjacent to that length of Willowfield Road to or from any other premises accessible for vehicles from, and only from, that length of road.
The Order is intended to be made because manhole repair works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the above length of Willowfield Road. The intended Order will come into force on the 29th April 2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the above works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that such works will take approximately three days to complete.
