What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING

RESTRICTIONS IN VALLEY ROAD, NORTHCHURCH) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Valley Road, Northchurch from its junction with Midcot Way north westwards and south eastwards for its entire length (“the Road”), except for access. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 4 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WATER LANE, BOVINGDON) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Water Lane, Bovingdon from a point 248m south east of its junction with Long Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Water Lane, Middle Lane, Venus Hill, Flaunden Lane and Water Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 9 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MISWELL LANE, TRING) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Miswell Lane, Tring from its junction with B488 Icknield Way south eastwards for a distance of approximately 25m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via B488 Icknield Way, B4635 (Aylesbury Road/Western Road) and Miswell Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHURCH LANE, TRING) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Lane, Tring from its junction with Hastoe Hill north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Marlin Hill, a distance of approximately 600m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via Hastoe Hill and Marlin Hill. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

BERKHAMSTED, TRING, KINGS LANGLEY, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD AND BOVINGDON) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. the A41 westbound slip road leading from A41 Interchange Tring, Wiggington from its junction with A41 Interchange Tring north westwards and south westwards to its junction with A41 Tring Bypass, a distance of approximately 622m.

An alternative route will be via A41 Interchange Tring, A4251 (Tring Road/High Street/ Gossoms End/High Street/London Road) and A41 (unnamed road/Tring Bypass).

2. that length of A41 (unnamed road), Berkhamsted/A41 Tring Bypass, Tring from its junction with the A41 eastbound slip road leading from A41 Interchange Tring south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 3750m.

An alternative route will be via A41 (unnamed road/Two Waters Way),

3.that length of A4251 Watford Road, Kings Langley from its junction with the A41 (unnamed road)/M25 (junction 20) roundabout north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with the Home Park Mill Link roundabout, a distance of approximately 557m. An alternative route will be via A41 (unnamed road/Two Waters Way) and A4251 (London Road/Hemel Hempstead Road/High Street/ Watford Road).

4.that length of Felden Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A4251 London Road south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Flaunden Lane, a distance of approximately 1148m.

An alternative route will be via A4251 London Road, B4506 Box Lane/Hempstead Road), High Street, Chipperfield Road, Tower Hill, Bulstrode Lane and Felden Lane.

5.that length of Bulstrode Lane, Bovingdon from its junction with

Felden Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 101m.

An alternative route will be via Felden Lane, A4251 London Road, B4506 (Box Lane/Hempstead Road), High Street, Chipperfield Road, Tower Hill and Bulstrode Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LEDGEMORE LANE, GREAT GADDESDEN) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Ledgemore Lane, Great Gaddesden from the access road leading to ‘Marsh Farm’ north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 790m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Ledgemore Lane, B440 Dagnell Road,

Bradden Lane, South Dene, Gaddesden Row and Ledgemore Lane. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BEGGARS LANE, ALDBURY AND GREEN LANE, FLAMSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):-

1.  that length of Beggars Lane, Aldbury from its junction with Station Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 200m. An alternative route will be via Station Road, B4635 London Road, A4251 Tring Road, New Ground Road and Beggars Lane.

2.  that length of Green Lane, Flamstead from its junction with Flamstead UUCR No.1 (Green Lane) south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Gaddesden Lane, a distance of approximately 200m.

An alternative route will be via Flamstead UUCR No.1 (Green Lane), Puddephats Lane, Markyate Street Lane, Gaddesden Row, Gaddesden Lane and Green Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 24 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING

RESTRICTIONS IN CROFT MEADOW AND CROFT LANE,

CHIPPERFIELD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Croft Meadow, Chipperfield from its junction with Croft Lane north eastwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of Croft Lane, Chipperfield from its junction with Chipperfield Public Footpath No.013 south eastwards to its junction with Croft End Road, a distance of approximately 158m. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 24 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING

RESTRICTIONS IN FOX ROAD, WIGGINTON) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Fox Road, Wigginton from its junction with The Twist north eastwards and northwards to its junction with A41 Interchange Tring, a distance of approximately 71m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Fox Road, Vicarage Road, Hemp Lane, A4251 Tring Road and A41 Interchange Tring. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 24 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
