What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)(A) AND (7)

THE A47 TRUNK ROAD (ACLE TO GREAT YARMOUTH, NORFOLK) (LAY-BYS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) has made an Order on the A47 Trunk Road in the County of Norfolk to enable the installation of road signage, resurfacing, renewing road markings, and installing speed camera enforcement equipment work to be carried out in safety.

The works will take place over approximately 2 months (8pm to 6am) starting on or after Wednesday 19 March 2025.

The effect of the Order will be to close, for 24 hours daily, all lay-bys adjacent to the eastbound and westbound carriageways of the A47 between Acle Roundabout and Vauxhall Roundabout.

The temporary lay-by closures (which will not apply to emergency service, works, or winter maintenance vehicles) will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

The Order will come into force on 17 March 2025 and may continue in force until the works detailed above have been completed, or for a maximum duration of eighteen months whichever is the earlier.
