Croydon, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic

What is happening?

THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS

SANDERSTEAD ROAD, SOUTH CROYDON

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to the kerb and footway, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic movements in Sanderstead Road, South Croydon.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, Sanderstead Road will be closed outside No. 301 Sanderstead Road.

  3. During the closure the alternative routes for diverted traffic will be as detailed below.

    • Via Addington Road, Farley Road, Croham Valley Road, Croham Road, South Park Hill Road, Coombe Road, South End, Brighton Road and vice versa.
    • Via Sanderstead Road, Mayfield Road, South Park Hill Road, Croham Road, Croham Valley Road, Farley Road and Addington Road.
    • Via Sanderstead Road, St Mary’s Road and Purley Oaks Road.
  4. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

    (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

  5. The Order will come into operation on 15 March 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out over two days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The restriction will only apply during such times and to such extents as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

CROYDON COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14

AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

GEORGE STREET, CROYDON

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate bus shelter replacement works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic on George Street, Croydon.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place George Street will be closed between its junctions with Dingwall Road and Altyre Road.

  3. During the works the diversion route for traffic will be via Cherry Orchard Road, A222, Addiscombe Grove, Barclay Road, Park Lane, Park Street, College Road, George Street and Wellesley Road.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 27 March 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 29 March 2025.

    CROYDON COUNCIL

    ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14

    AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

    GLOUCESTER ROAD, CROYDON

    TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

    1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate telegraph pole replacement work on behalf of Openreach, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Gloucester Road.

    2. Whilst the said works are taking place, Gloucester Road will be closed between its junction with Selhurst Road and the common boundary of Nos. 236 and 228 Gloucester Road.

    3. During the closure the alternative route for traffic will be via Gloucester Road, Selhurst Place, Selhurst New Road, A213, and reversed, as appropriately signed.

    4. The Order will come into operation on 29 March 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed in one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

      1. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

        (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

        (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

        (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

      TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC

      1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate the installation of an electricity supply to a bus shelter, they intend to make

        AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

        SELSDON PARK ROAD ACCESS ROAD, SOUTH CROYDON

        TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC

        1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate the installation of an electricity supply to a bus shelter, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic on Selsdon Park Road access road, South Croydon.

        2. Whilst the said works are taking place the access road fronting property Nos. 191 to 213 Selsdon Park Road will be closed.

        3. During the works residents’ access to properties will be maintained.

        4. The Order will come into operation on 27 March 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

        5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

          (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

          (b) pedal cycles.

          (c) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

          (d) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
