Darlington St - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(HEWLETT STREET, PARK ROAD AND DARLINGTON STREET, COPPULL, CHORLEY BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to wait ant any time on the following lengths of highway in the borough of Chorley;
i. Hewlett Street, Coppull from its junction with Darlington Street for a distance of 10 metres in a easterly direction.
ii. Hewlett Street, Coppull from its junction with Park Road for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction.
iii. Darlington Street, Coppull from the most easterly boundary of its carriageway for a distance of 5 metres either side of its junction with Hewlett Street.
iv. Park Road, Coppull from the most westerly boundary of its carriageway for a distance of 5 metres either side of its junction with Hewlett Street.
2. Nothing in this notice shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 1601 hours on Sunday 9th March 2025 until 1630 hours Monday 1st June 2026 or until completion of the works within this period.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to ensure safety of pedestrians and vehicles in and around the new development and highway works.
