What is happening?
THE CITY OF SUNDERLAND (ST LUKES TERRACE EAST BACK AND NEVILLE ROAD SOUTH BACK) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
Sunderland City Council gives notice that it intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit all vehicular traffic from the sections of carriageways described in the schedule. The Order is required to allow for sewer main repair works. The order will come into force on 28th April 2025. The maximum duration of the closure under the Order will be eighteen months although the works are expected to be completed in ten days. All vehicles will be prohibited from the sections of carriageways described in the schedule (except for personnel involved in the works), until the works are completed or at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs. An alternative route will be provided via the adjacent highways network.
Schedule: St Lukes Terrace East Back from its junction with Neville Road South Back to the extended party property boundary of 13 and 15 St Lukes Terrace; and Neville Road South Back from its junction with Percival Street to its northwestern extent.
