What is happening?

THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

QUEENS ROAD (PART)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Queens Road Roundabout, at its junction with Princes Avenue. Also, the suspension of the one-way system on Princes Road to allow two way traffic flows for the duration of the Order.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during gas mains replacement and carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services via the signed diversion.

The Order will take effect on 7th April 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 7th April 2025 to 9th May 2025.

STALYBRIDGE AVENUE (PART)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Stalybridge Avenue, from the junction of Stone Bridge Avenue to Uxbridge Gove, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during works to install valve and washout.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will take effect on 7th April 2025, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 8am to 6pm commencing 7th April 2025 until 11th April 2025.

MARFLEET LANE (PART)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Marfleet Lane, oppomber 440, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during works to revisit a fault within a telecoms build.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

The Order will take effect on 12th April 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed overnight, from 8pm on 12th April 2025 to 6am on 13th April 2025.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Danube Road, outside numbers 171 to 178, at the corner with Worcester Road, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during the installing and connecting of pipe works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will take effect on 7th April 2025, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 7th April 2025 to 13th June 2025.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Hopewell Road, outside number 254, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during new water connection works to new dwellings.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will come into effect 2nd April 2025 and may continue in 
force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 7.30am and 7.30pm, commencing 2nd April 2025 until 4th April 2025.

PROW 11
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person from proceeding along Public Right of Way Number 11, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during painting and sealing of high level masonry of building fabric works.

The alternative route for pedestrians will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will come into effect 31st March 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in a period of approximately 5 days, from 7.30am to 5pm, between the 31st March 2025 and 30th September 2025.

JAMES RECKITT AVENUE (PART)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along James Reckitt Avenue, at the mini roundabout south of Gillshill Road, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during works which include the resurfacing and reconstruction of the existing carriageway and roundabout with associated gully and kerb repairs and replacement works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will come into effect 6th April 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 6.30pm and midnight on 6th April 2025 and 9.30am to 3.30pm on 11th April 2025.

NEW BRIDGE ROAD/WENTWORTH WAY AREA (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Kingston upon Hull City Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in pursuance of powers granted by the Secretary of State under Section 74 and Part 2 of Schedule 8 and under Paragraph 8 of Schedule 9 of the Traffic Management Act 2004.

The effect of the Order will be to make part of New Bridge Road (from north of Birkdale Way to the junction with Ellis Street) into a 20mph speed limit zone. Birkdale Way and Wentworth Way and all side streets off it are also included in the 20mph zone order.

The purpose of the Order is considered necessary to reduce the speeds of vehicles at the bend on New Bridge Road and to ensure the speeds of vehicles are more consistent for a residential area. 

A copy of the draft Order, the relevant plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order are available for inspection during normal office hours at the General Reception Area, The Kingston upon Hull City Council, The Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull, HU1 2AA.

OLD TOWN AREA
(20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025 

Notice is hereby given that the Kingston upon Hull City Council proposes to make an Order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in pursuance of powers granted by the Secretary of State under Section 74 and Part 2 of Schedule 8 and under Paragraph 8 of Schedule 9 of the Traffic Management Act 2004.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20 mph speed limit to the majority of the Old Town Area of Hull City Centre (south of George Street to the north of the A63 Castle Street). 

The purpose of the Order is considered necessary to reduce the speeds of vehicles in the Old Town of the City Centre to improve the safety of all road users near Hull College and the retail and entertainment venues located within this area.

A copy of the draft Order, the relevant plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order are available for inspection during normal office hours at the General Reception Area, The Kingston upon Hull City Council, The Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull, HU1 2AA.
