What is happening?
THE BOROUGH OF BLACKPOOL
VARIOUS ROADS CONSOLIDATION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS,
ON STREET PARKING PLACES, RESIDENTS’ PARKING PLACES
AND TAXI STANDS AMENDMENT NO 2 ORDER 2024
(“Amendment No 2 Order”)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Blackpool Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 32,46, 46A, 47, 49 , 53 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Borough of Blackpool) Order 2003 (Statutory Instrument No 2677) and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to introduce the following restrictions as specified below:-
RESTRICTIONS TO BE INTRODUCED
1. No waiting at any time on Luton Road, Gresham Road, Magdalen Road, Lyddersdale Avenue , Lockerbie Avenue, Rockwood Avenue, Bleasdale Avenue, Beryl Avenue, Kent Road
2. Extension of Resident Permit Parking scheme bays on Kent Road
3. Extension of Resident Permit Parking scheme addresses which can purchase parking permits in the IBBIS scheme
A copy of the proposed Order, plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected by scanning the QR code below or at Customer First, Municipal Buildings, Corporation Street, Blackpool, FY1 1NF. Please telephone 01253 477477 to make an appointment to view the documents.
Any objections and representations relating to the proposed Order must be made quoting the title of this Order before 9:00 am on 9 April 2025 by one of the following methods:
1. in writing stating the grounds for any objection and should be sent to either Head of Transportation Highways, Blackpool Council, PO Box 4, Blackpool, FY1 1NA; or
2. by email to traffic.management@blackpool.gov.uk; or
3. by scanning the QR code below using your phone camera or a QR code application, and then following the onscreen instructions and clicking Submit Feedback in the Active Consultations tab
