Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
A229 Cranbrook Road, Hawkhurst, TN18 4BJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A229 Cranbrook Road, Hawkhurst, on or after 31st March 2025 for up to 37 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Hill Crest. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A229 Cranbrook Road, A229 Gills Green, A229 Hawkhurst Road, A229 Hartley Road, A229 Angley Road, A229 Wisley Green, A229 Wilsley Pound, A262 Goudhurst Road, A262 Cranbrook Road, A262 Church Road, A262 High Street, A262 The Plain, A262 West Road, A262 Clayhill, A262 Station Road, A262 Spelmonden Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A262 Horsmonden Road, A21 Forstal Farm Roundabout, A21 Lamberhurst Bypass, A21 Scotney Castle Roundabout, A21 Hastings Road, A21 London Road, A268 Hawkhurst Road, A268 High Street, A229 Rye Road, A229 Cranbrook Road and vice versa.
B2160 Maidstone Road, Matfield, TN12 7HA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new service installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2160 Maidstone Road, Matfield, on or after 30th March 2025 for up to 1 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Lodge on 30th March 2025 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2160 Maidstone Road, B2160 Gedges Hill, B2160 Maidstone Road, B2017 Badsell Road, A228 Colts Hill, A228 Pembury Northern Bypass, A228 Pembury Road, A228 Pembury Slip Road On And Off, A21 Pembury Bypass, A21 Hastings Road, A21 Kippings Cross Roundabout, B2160 Maidstone Road and vice versa.
B2169 Furnace Lane, Lamberhurst, TN3 8LN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2169 Furnace Lane, Lamberhurst, on or after 11th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Park Cottage, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2169 Furnace Lane, B2169 Bayham Road, Forest Road, A267 Frant Road, A267 Frant Green Road, A267 Mayfield Road, B2099 Wadhurst Road, B2099 Riverhall Hill, B2099 Fant Road, B2099 Station Hill, B2099 Station Road, B2099 Durgates, B2100 Sparrows Green Road, B2100 Cousley Wood Road, B2100 The Slade, B2169 The Down and vice versa.
Brenchley Road, Horsmonden, TN12 7AT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brenchley Road, Horsmonden, on or after 10th April 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Burrs Hill Cottages, between the working hours of 07:00 and 19:00 on Monday to Friday, 08:00 and 18:00 on Saturday and 09:00 and 17:00 on Sunday only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Brenchley Road, Horsmonden Road, High Street, Brenchley Road, B2160 Maidstone Road, A21 Kipping’s Cross Roundabout, A21 Hastings Road, A21 Blue Boy, A21 Hastings Road, A21 Lamberhurst Quarter, A21 Lamberhurst By-pass, A21 Forstal Farm Roundabout, A262 Horsmonden Road, B2162 Horsmonden Road, B2162 Lamberhurst Road, The Heath, Brenchley Road and vice versa.
Bubhurst Lane, Frittenden, TN17 2BD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bubhurst Lane, Frittenden, on or after 10th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Haffenden Farmhouse. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
Etherington Hill, Speldhurst, TN3 0TS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Etherington Hill, Speldhurst, on or after 11th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junctions of Stockland Green Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Speldhurst Road, A26 St Johns Road, A26 London Road, B2176 Bidborough Ridge, B2176 Penshurst Road, Barden Road, Speldhurst Hill, Etherington Hill and vice versa.
Lower Green Road & Broomhill Road, Rusthall, TN4 8TS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Green Road & Broomhill Road, Rusthall, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Greenfield Close and Speldhurst Hill, during the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Speldhurst Hill, Langton Road, Speldhurst Road, A264 Langton Road, Coach Road, Rusthall Road, Lower Green Road and vice versa.
Lucks Lane, Paddock Wood, TN12 6QN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lucks Lane, Paddock Wood, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 82 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of B2160 Maidstone Road to Nut Tree Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2160 Maidstone Road, Wagon Lane, Queen Street, Lucks Lane and vice versa.
Mascalls Court Road, Paddock Wood, TN12 6FE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mascalls Court Road, Paddock Wood, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside City Cottage, between the hours of 07:30 and 16:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mascalls Court Road, B2160 Maidstone Road, Station Road, Church Road, Mile Oak Road, Mascalls Court Road and vice versa.
Newton Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN1 2NB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Newton Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 30th March 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Monson Road and Mount Pleasant Avenue. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
Pearsons Green Road, Paddock Wood, TN12 7DF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow cable repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pearsons Green Road, Paddock Wood, on or after 26th March 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Wayside Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pearsons Green Road, Crook Road, Knowle Road, Pearsons Green Road and vice versa.
Post Office Road, Hawkhurst, TN18 4LH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Post Office Road, Hawkhurst, on or after 31st March 2025 for up to 92 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of A268 High Street and Northgrove Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A268 High Street, Northgrove Road and vice versa.
Sophurst Lane, Matfield (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sophurst Lane, Matfield, on or after 8th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Becketts Grove Farm, between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sophurst Lane, B2160 Maidstone Road, A21 Kipping’s Cross Roundabout, Hastings Road, A21 Blue Boys, Cryals Road and vice versa.
Western Road, Southborough, TN4 0HD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Western Road, Southborough, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside properties 6 and 8. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Western Road, A26 London Road, Holden Park Road, Edward Street and vice versa.
