Tonbridge and Malling, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

 

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA

 

B2021 East Street, Tonbridge, TN9 1PW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2021 East Street, Tonbridge, on or after 6th April 2025 for up to 16 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of A227 Hadlow Road and Lyons Crescent. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A227 Bordyke, B2260 High Street, Lyons Crescent and vice versa.

 

Birling Hill, Snodland (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Birling Hill, Snodland, on or after 8th April 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed 500m west of Holly Hill Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Birling Hill, White Horse Road, Harvel Road, A227 Gravesend Road, Vigo Hill, Taylors Lane, Addington Lane, Woodgate Road, The Street, Birling Road, Ryarsh Road, Snodland Road, Stangate Road and vice versa.

 

Church Street, Burham, ME1 3SD (PROHIBITION  OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new cable installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Street, Burham, on or after 25th March 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Golden Eagle Public House, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Street, Rochester Road, New Court Road, Church Street and vice versa.

 

Common Road, Bluebell Hill Village (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre cable installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Common Road, Bluebell Hill Village, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Bluebell Hill Village Slip Road, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

 

High Street, Aylesford, ME20 7BB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drainage repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Aylesford, on or after 24th March 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Chequers. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, Rochester Road, Pilgrims Way, Bull Lane, High Street and vice versa.

 

High Street, Snodland, ME6 5BQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow blockage clearance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Snodland, on or after 9th April 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between properties 31 and 43. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Queens Avenue, Queens Road, Waghorn Road and vice versa.

 

High Street, Wouldham, ME1 3XN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Wouldham, on or after 27th March 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Knowle Road and Walter Burke Avenue, during the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Knowle Road, Pilgrims Way, School Lane, High Street and vice versa.

 

Holford Street, Tonbridge, TN9 1TL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow sewer jetting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Holford Street, Tonbridge, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Danvers Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Avebury Avenue, Barden Road, B2260 Station Approach, B2260 High Street, Avebury Avenue.

 

Lavenders Road, West Malling (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lavenders Road, West Malling, on or after 27th March 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 135 to 139. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lavenders Road, Lucks Hill, Clare Lane, Broadwater Road, Lavenders Road and vice versa.

 

Old School Lane, Ryarsh, ME19 5LP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow stopcock replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Old School Lane, Ryarsh, on or after 8th April 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Pipers Corner. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

 

Red Hill, Wateringbury, ME18 5NX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Red Hill, Wateringbury, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of A26 Tonbridge Road to property number 18. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A26 Tonbridge Road, A228 Malling Road, A228 Ashton Way, A20 London Road, New Road, High Street, Chapel Street, Wateringbury Road, Red Hill and vice versa.

 

Rochester Road, Burham, ME1 3RH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rochester Road, Burham, on or after 12th April 2025 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Knowle Road and property 402. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Rochester Road, Pilgrims Way, Burham Road, Wouldham Road, Priestfield, B2097 Maidstone Road, B2097 Rochester Road, Bridgewood Roundabout, Lord Lees Roundabout, A229 Bluebell Hill Slip Road, A229 Bluebell Hill, A229 Kits Coty Slip Road, Rochester Road, Pilgrims Way, Rochester Road,  and vice versa.

 

School Lane & High Street, Wouldham, ME1 3TS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre cable installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of School Lane & High Street, Wouldham, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

School Lane will be closed from the junction of Oldfield Drive and the Kennels, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The One-way Order on High Street will be suspended to allow access and use for diverted traffic. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via School Lane, High Street, Knowle Road, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.

 

Tonbridge Road, East Peckham, TN12 5JP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tonbridge Road, East Peckham, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Forge House, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tonbridge Road, Three Elm Lane, A26 Hadlow Road East, A26 Tonbridge Road, A26 High Street, A26 The Square, A26 Maidstone Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, A228 Seven Mile Lane, A228 Maidstone Road Roundabout, A228 Hale Street By Pass, A228 Branbridges Ind Est Roundabout, Branbridges Road, Old Road, Pound Road, Chidley Cross Road, Hatches Lane, Tonbridge Road and vice versa.

 

The Ferns, Larkfield, ME20 6NF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow supply disconnection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Ferns, Larkfield, on or after 26th March 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from property number 7. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

 

The Rocks Road, East Malling, ME19 6AW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow tree felling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Rocks Road, East Malling, on or after 25th March 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside East Malling Train Station, between the hours of 10:00 and 14:00. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chapel Street, Wateringbury Road, Sweets Lane, The Rocks Road and vice versa.

 

The Rocks Road, East Malling, ME19 6AY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Rocks Road, East Malling, on or after 27th March 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Rosemary Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Rocks Road, Sweets Lane, Wateringbury Road, Chapel Street and vice versa.
