What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
GRAVESHAM AREA
A226 Thames Way, Northfleet, DA11 9QY (CYCLE LANE SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on part of A226 Thames Way, Northfleet, on or after 7th April 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The cycle lane will be suspended approx 320m south of junction with Ebbsfleet Gateway (opposite tanks).
B262 Springhead Road, Northfleet (SUSPEND 7.5T WEIGHT RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow the installation of a toucan crossing that is on the exit slip road (A2260 from the A2) on to the B262 Hall Road to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order for the 7.5T weight restriction to be suspended on B262 Springhead Road, Northfleet between Hall Road and A226 Thames Way.
Works are planned from 24th March 2025, with estimated completion by 6th April 2025, between 20.00hrs and 05.00hrs.
B2175 The Hill, Northfleet, DA11 9EX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of the installation of a toucan crossing, carriageway and footway improvement works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2175 The Hill, Northfleet, on or after 25th March 2025 for up to 1 night between 20:00-06:00 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Vicarage Drive to car park entrance opposite Nos 30/31.
The alternative route is via B2175 High Street/Stonebridge Road, A226 Thames Way, Springhead Road, B2175 The Hill and vice versa.
Barr Road, Forge Lane, Jubilee Crescent & St Gregorys Crescent, Gravesend, DA12 4DJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Barr Road, Forge Lane, Jubilee Crescent and St Gregorys Crescent, Gravesend, on or after 25th March 2025 for up to 1 night between 23.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The roads will be closed at their junctions with each other.
The alternative route is via Bourne Road, Cruden Road, Barr Road, Thong Lane, A226 Rochester Road, B261 Old Road East, Brown Road and vice versa.
Marina Drive, Northfleet, DA11 9JG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of lead water pipe replacement works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Marina Drive, Northfleet, on or after 30th March 2025 for up to 13 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the side of number 73 London Road.
The alternative route is via B2175 London Road, Beresford Road, St Marks Avenue, Marina Drive and vice versa.
