Temporary Parking & Traffic Arrangements Wall Hill Road, Coventry

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Wall Hill Road from its junction with Bridle Brook Lane to its junction with Stonehouse Lane.

The Order would come into effect at 07:00 hours on Monday, 24 March 2025 and is required to enable water connection installation works on Wall Hill Road to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 26 March 2025.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform; 

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) reasonable local vehicular access to Wall Hill Road.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Traffic Arrangements A45 Dunchurch Highway, Coventry

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on the A45 Dunchurch Highway commencing from the Coventry Hill Hotel extending approximately 1030m in length from the hotel across the roundabout.

The Order would come into effect at 00.01 hours on Monday 24th March 2025 and is required to enable works including the setting up of a crane in aid of a telecom’s equipment upgrade to take place safely on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Wednesday 26th March 2025.

The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

Proposed Traffic Regulation Order City Of Coventry (Kenilworth Road) (40mph And 50mph Speed Limit) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), propose to make the above Traffic Regulation Order (“the Order”).

It is proposed to revoke the existing 50mph speed limit on the following lengths of road: -

KENILWORTH ROAD (A429)
From its junction with THE KENPASS HIGHWAY (A45) in a southern westerly direction to a point 80 metres north easterly of the GIBBET HILL ROAD and STONELEIGH ROAD roundabout

From a point 54 metres south westerly of the GIBBET HILL ROAD and STONELEIGH ROAD roundabout in a south westerly direction to the boundary of Coventry City Council

It is proposed to revoke the existing 40mph speed limit on the following length of road:-

KENILWORTH ROAD (A429)
From a point 80 metres north easterly of the GIBBET HILL ROAD and STONELEIGH ROAD roundabout in a south westerly direction to a point 54 metres south westerly of the GIBBET HILL ROAD and STONELEIGH ROAD roundabout 

It is proposed to introduce a new 40mph speed limit on the following length of road:-

KENILWORTH ROAD (A429)
From its junction with THE KENPASS HIGHWAY (A45) in a south westerly direction to a point 99 metres south westerly of the southern kerbline of CANNON HILL ROAD

It is proposed to re-introduce the 40mph speed limit on the following length of road:-

KENILWORTH ROAD (A429)
From a point 80 metres north easterly of the GIBBET HILL ROAD and STONELEIGH ROAD roundabout in a south westerly direction to a point 54 metres south westerly of the GIBBET HILL ROAD and STONELEIGH ROAD roundabout


It is proposed to re-introduce the 50mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:-

Kenilworth Road (A429)
From a point 99 metres south westerly of the southern kerbline of CANNON HILL ROAD in a south westerly direction to a point 80 metres north easterly of the GIBBET HILL ROAD and STONELEIGH ROAD roundabout

From a point 54 metres south easterly of the GIBBET HILL ROAD and STONELEIGH ROAD roundabout in a south easterly direction to the boundary of Coventry City Council

The proposed speed limit changes are to improve safety and amenity in proximity to a new uncontrolled pedestrian crossing point as well as streamline and consolidate several Traffic Regulation Orders into one. 

A copy of this Notice, the draft Order, plan and Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the Council House (reception area) Earl Street, Coventry and on the Council’s website ‘www.coventry.gov.uk/tro’.

Any objection must state the grounds on which it is made and must be forwarded by no later than 3rd April 2025.


Temporary Traffic Arrangements Oldham Avenue, Coventry

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Oldham Avenue from its junction with Hocking Road to its junction with Hipswelll Highway.

The Order will come into effect on 00.01 hours on Monday 17th March 2025 and is required to allow Severn Trent to carry out water connection renewals on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Friday 21st March 2025.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Oldham Avenue Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Traffic Arrangements Various Roads (As Set Out In The Schedule Below), Coventry

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on the roads detailed in the below Schedule.

The Order will come into effect on 07:00 hours on Monday 17th March 2025 and is required to enable Pothole repairs and associated works to take place safely on the said roads.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Friday 11th April 2025.

The roads will be closed or restricted on a number of occasions for various durations, to such an extent when prescribed signs are displayed. 

The specific closure times for each road would apply as the signage indicates on site. Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site and access to premises would be maintained wherever possible.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Parking And Traffic Arrangements Hugh Road, Coventry

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Hugh Road for its entire length.

The Order will come into effect between 07:00 to 23:59 hours on Monday 17th March 2025 and is required for facilitate gully cleansing, lining, patching and associated works on the highway to take place safely. 

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Monday 17th March 2025.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform; 

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order; 

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works 

(d) any persons requiring reasonable vehicular access or egress to properties on Hugh Road

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Traffic Arrangements Romford Road, Coventry

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Romford Road from its junction with Berkett Road to the end of the road, cul-de-sac.

The Order will come into effect on 00.01 hours on Tuesday 18th March 2025 and is required to allow Severn Trent to renew a small sluice valve on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Thursday 20th March 2025.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Romford Road

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Public Right Of Way/ Footpath Closure Public Right Of Way M241 (Rear Of Platinum Way) Coventry, Eastern Green Development

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of which will be a closure of the length of footpath detailed in the Schedule below (when appropriate signage is in place).

The Order will come into operation at 00.01 hours on Monday 17th March 2025, and is required to allow for the safe construction of a new access road to facilitate the construction of a new substation.

The maximum duration of this Order is six (6) months but it is expected that the works will be completed by Monday 9th June 2025. 

Closure times will be as signed on site.

Any alternative route for pedestrians will be sign posted on site.

Exemptions would be provided for: -
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform; 

(b) anyone in connection with the execution of the said works; and

(c) local pedestrian access

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Recreation Road for its full length.

The Order will come into effect at 07:00 hours on Tuesday, 18 March 2025 and is required to enable water connection renewal works on Recreation Road to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 26 March 2025.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure will be sign posted on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
