(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN RECTORY LANE AND HERNE ROAD, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:

  1. That length of Rectory Lane, Stevenage from its junction with North Road south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Weston Road, a distance of approximately 868m.

    An alternative route will be via B197 (North Road/Graveley Road), A602 Hitchin Road, A1072 (Martins Way/Canterbury Way/St Albans Link) and Weston Road.

  2. That length of Herne Road, Stevenage from its junction with Ingleside Drive south westwards and north westwards to its junction with for its entire length.

    There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:

  1. That length of Grosvenor Road West, Baldock from its junction with Grosvenor Road south westwards for its entire length.

    There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

  2. That length of Grosvenor Road, Baldock from its junction with B656 Royston Road south eastwards for its entire length.

    There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

  3. That length of West Lane, Pirton from its junction with Shillington Road north eastwards, eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Holwell Road, a distance of approximately 716m.

    An alternative route will be via Shillington Road, Priors Hill, Hitchin Road, B656 Pirton Road, A505 (Upper Tilehouse Street/Old Park Road/Bedford Road), A600 Bedford Road, Holwell Road, Pirton Road, Waterloo Lane and Holwell Road or via Holwell Road, Waterloo Lane, Pirton Road, Holwell Road, A600 Bedford Road, A505 (Bedford Road/Paynes Park/Upper Tilehouse Street), B656 Pirton Road, Hitchin Road, Priors Hill and Shillington Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS AND FOOTWAY IN LETCHWORTH GARDEN CITY, KNEBWORTH, BARLEY, GRAVELEY, HINXWORTH AND STEVENAGE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and footway (“the Footway”) will be:

  1. To prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of Roads, except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads, whilst works are in progress:

a) That length of Icknield Way, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Cowslip Hill north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Norton Way North, a distance of approximately 675m.

An alternative route will be via Bridge Road, Station Place, Station Road and Norton Way North.

b) That length of Highfield, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Sollershott West north westwards to its junction with West View, a distance of approximately 390m.

An alternative route will be via Sollershott West, Spring Road and West View.

c) That length of Icknield Way, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Norton Way North south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with the Green Lane roundabout, a distance of approximately 1026m.

An alternative route will be via Norton Way North, Birds Hill, Works Road and Green Lane.

d) That length of Deards End Lane, Knebworth from its junction with Park Lane north eastwards to its junction with B197 Stevenage Road, a distance of approximately 701m.

An alternative route will be via Park Lane, Station Approach, Station Road and B197 Stevenage Road.

e) That length of B1039 Chiswell Road, Barley from its junction with B1039 Picknage Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 508m.

An alternative route will be via B1039 Picknage Road, B1368 Cambridge Road, New Road, Heydon Road and B1039 (Barley Road/Chishill Road).

f) That length of Church Lane, Graveley from its junction with B197 High Street south eastwards, north eastwards, south westwards, north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 448m.

g) The road leading to ‘St Marys Church’, Graveley from its junction with Church Lane south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 40m.

h) That length of New Inn Road, Hinxworth from its junction with High Street south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Hinxworth Public Footpath No.008, a distance of approximately 285m.

An alternative route will be via High Street, Ashwell Road, Hinxworth Road, Newnham Way, Ashwell Road, Newnham Road, A507 Great North Road, A1 (unnamed road/London Road), the A1 London Road roundabout, A1 (London Road/unnamed road), Hinxworth Road and New Inn Road or via High Street, Edworth (unnamed road), Edworth Road, A1 (unnamed road/London Road), the A1 London Road roundabout, A1 (London Road/unnamed road), Hinxworth Road and New Inn Road.

  1. To prohibit all pedestrians from using the footway situated on the north side of Webb Rise, Stevenage from a point 70 metres east of its junction with Meredith Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 10m.

    An alternative route will be via the footpath situated on the east side of No.26 Webb Rise and the footpath fronting Nos.46-96 Webb Rise.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads and Footway.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads and Footway.

  2. That length of Flinders Close, Stevenage from its junction with Christie Road north westwards for its entire length.

    There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

  3. That length of Nightingale Walk, Stevenage from its southernmost junction with Pankhurst Crescent north westwards for its entire length.

    There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:

  1. The A505 Cambridge Road/Meadowbank roundabout, Hitchin from its junction with St Michaels Road clockwise for its entire length.

    An alternative route will be via A505 (Cambridge Road/Hitchin Road/Baldock Road/Letchworth Gate), B197 (Jacks Hill/High Street/Graveley Road), A602 (Wymondley Bypass/Stevenage Road/Park Way) and A505 (Old Park Road/Bedford Road/Fishponds Road/Bunyan Road/Nightingale Road/Cambridge Road) or via A505 (Cambridge Road/Nightingale Road/Bunyan Road/Fishponds Road/Bedford Road/Paynes Park), A602 (Park Way/Stevenage Road/Wymondley Bypass), B197 (Graveley Road/High Street/Jacks Hill) and A505 (Letchworth Gate/Baldock Road/Hitchin Road/Cambridge Road) or via St Michaels Road, Wymondley Road, Ninesprings Way, Oakfield Avenue, Whitehill Road, Stevenage Road, Park Way and A505 (Old Park Road/Bedford Road/Fishponds Road/Bunyan Road/Nightingale Road/Cambridge Road).

  2. That length of Meadowbank, Hitchin from its junction with the A505 Cambridge Road/St Michaels Road roundabout north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 254m.

    There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

  3. That length of A505 Cambridge Road, Hitchin from its junction with the Meadowbank/St Michaels Road roundabout south westwards to its junction with the B656 Walsworth Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 252m.

    An alternative route will be via A505 (Cambridge Road/Hitchin Road/Baldock Road/Letchworth Gate), B197 (Jacks Hill/High Street/Graveley Road), A602 (Wymondley Bypass/Stevenage Road/Park Way) and A505 (Old Park Road/Bedford Road/Fishponds Road/Bunyan Road/Nightingale Road/Cambridge Road).

  4. That length of A505 Cambridge Road, Hitchin from its junction with the Meadowbank/St Michaels Road roundabout north eastwards to its junction with Woolgrove Road, a distance of approximately 395m.

    That length of St Michaels Road, Hitchin from its junction with the A505 Cambridge Road/Meadowbank roundabout south eastwards to its junction with the Keats Way/Wedgewood Way roundabout, a distance of approximately 965m.

    An alternative route will be via A505 (Cambridge Road/Nightingale Road/Bunyan Road/Fishponds Road/Bedford Road/Paynes Park), A602 (Park Way/Stevenage Road), Whitehill Road, Oakfield Avenue, Ninesprings Way.

    (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WYMONDLEY ROAD, GREAT WYMONDLEY/WILLIAN AND THE SUBWAY SITUATED BENEATH A602 BROADHALL WAY, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2025

    NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:

    1. To prohibit all traffic from using that length of Wymondley Road, Great Wymondley/Willian from its junction with Graveley Road north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Willian Road, a distance of approximately 2236m (“the Road”), except for access.

      An alternative route will be via Arch Road, Stevenage Road, A602 (Wymondley Bypass/Stevenage Road), B656 (Hitchin Hill/Park Street/Queen Street/Walsworth Road), A505 (Cambridge Road/Hitchin Road), Letchworth Lane and Willian Road.

    2. To prohibit all subway users from using the subway situated beneath A602 Broadhall Way, Stevenage from a point 5m north west of a point in line with the northern boundary of No.62 Mandeville north westwards for a distance of approximately 21m (“the Subway”).

      An alternative route will be via the subway situated beneath A602 Broadhall Way and the cycle track/footway situated on the west side of A602 Broadhall Way.

    The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road and Subway.

    If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road and Subway.

    (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WILLIAN ROAD, HITCHIN/LETCHWORTH GARDEN CITY) ORDER 2025

    NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Willian Road, Hitchin/Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Queenswood Drive north eastwards to its junction with Letchworth Lane, a distance of approximately 1597m (“the Road”).

    An alternative route will be via Queenswood Drive, A505 Cambridge Road/Hitchin Road and Letchworth Lane.

    The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

    If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

    (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE CYCLE TRACK SITUATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF COREYS MILL LANE, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2025

    NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles from using the cycle track situated on the south side of Coreys Mill Lane, Stevenage from a point 70m south east of its junction with The Old Walled Garden north westwards for a distance of approximately 221m (“the Cycle Track”).

    Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.

    The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Cycle Track.

    If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 31 March 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Cycle Track.

    NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:

    1. That length of Roebuck Gate, Stevenage from its junction with Broadwater Crescent south westwards for a distance of approximately 114m.

      An alternative route will be via Broadwater Crescent, Ashdown Road, Hertford Road and Roebuck Gate.

    2. The road situated to the rear of Nos.31-39 Roebuck Gate, Stevenage from its junction with Roebuck Gate north westwards for its entire length.

      There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

    3. That length of Clovelly Way/Fishers Green, Stevenage and Stevenage Road, Todds Green/Titmore Green from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.24 Fishers Green north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 1000m.

      An alternative route will be via Velly Way, A1072 Gunnels Wood Road, A602 Hitchin Road, Stevenage Road, Blakemore End Road and Stevenage Road.

    4. That length of Chantry Lane, Stevenage from its junction with Stevenage Road north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 150m.

      An alternative route will be via Stevenage Road, Blakemore End Road, Stevenage Road and Chantry Lane.

    5. The road situated to the rear of Nos.584-600 Grace Way, Stevenage from its junction with Grace Way south eastwards, southwards, south eastwards and southwards for its entire length.

      1. That length of Coventry Close, Stevenage from its junction with Pilgrims Way south eastwards, clockwise, south westwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south westwards for its entire length.

        There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

      2. That length of Pilgrims Way, Stevenage from its junction with the A1072 Martins Way/A1155 Verity Way roundabout northwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 191m.

        An alternative route will be via A1072 Martins Way, Canterbury Way and Pilgrims Way.

      3. That length of High Street, Stevenage from its junction with A602 James Way south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Trinity Road, a distance of approximately 652m.

        An alternative route will be via A602 (James Way/Lytton Way) and Trinity Road, or via Trinity Road and A602 (Lytton Way/High Street).

      4. That length of B197 Stevenage Road, Knebworth/B197 London Road, Stevenage from its junction with Dunnock Close northwards and north westwards to its junction with the Hertford Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 398m.

        An alternative route will be via B197 (Stevenage Road/London Road/Mardley Hill/Great North Road), B656 (Link Road/Church Street/Codicote Road/High Street/Hitchin Road/London Road), A602 (Stevenage Road/Wymondley Bypass/Hitchin Road/Lytton Way/High Street/James Way/Lytton Way) and B197 London Road or via B197 London Road, A602 (Lytton Way/Hitchin Road/Wymondley Bypass/Stevenage Road), B656 (London Road/Hitchin Road/High Street/Codicote Road/Church Street/Link Road) and B197 (Great North Road/Mardley Hill/London Road/Stevenage Road).

      5. That length of Walkern Road, Stevenage from its junction with Almonds Lane south westwards to its junction with Fresson Road, a distance of approximately 377m.

        An alternative route will be via Almonds Lane, Grace Way, Sish Lane, Letchmore Road, Church Lane and Walkern Road.

      6. That length of Almonds Lane, Stevenage from its junction with Providence Grove north westwards to its junction with Weston Road, a distance of approximately 329m.

      An alternative route will be via Almonds Lane, Grace Way, Canterbury Way, St Albans Link, Weston Road and Almonds Lane.

      The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

      If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

      (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WATERDELL LANE, ST IPPOLYTS) ORDER 2025

      NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Waterdell Lane, St Ippolyts from its junction with High Street north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 91m (“the Road”).

      An alternative route will be via High Street, Hitchin Road, Gosmore Road, B656 London Road and Waterdell Lane.

      The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

      The Order has been made and shall come into force on 20 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

      (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MAYDENCROFT LANE, GOSMORE) ORDER 2025

      NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Maydencroft Lane, Gosmore from the access road leading to ‘Maydencroft Manor’ north westwards for a distance of approximately 170m (“the Road”), except for access.

      An alternative route will be via Maydencroft Lane, High Street, Hitchin Road, Gosmore Road, A602 Park Way, Charlton Road and Maydencroft Lane.

      The Order is needed because water main connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

      The Order has been made and shall come into force on 17 March 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
