Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

(AMENDMENT No.27) ORDER 2024

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 44, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (‘the Act’) the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-

The effect of the named Order will be to place double yellow lines (DYL) waiting restrictions on the following lengths of roads in Hawkinge, Folkestone and Hythe:-

Roads in Hawkinge in the District of Folkestone & Hythe

AERODROME ROAD – DYL – (1) On the north side from its junction with Campbell Road to the existing bus stop clearway in an easterly direction for a distance of 177 metres. (2) On the north side from its junction with Canterbury Road to the existing bus stop clearway for a distance of 60 metres in a westerly direction. ATKINSON ROAD – DYL – (1) On the north side to a point 10 metres east and 10 metres west from its junction with Pannell Drive. (2) SYL between Mon-Fri 7am to 7pm on the north east side from a point 13 metres west of its junction with Page Road for a distance of 19 metres in a north westerly direction. (3) SYL between Mon-Fri 7am to 7pm on the northeast side from its junction with Page Road for a distance of 31 metres in a north westerly direction. (4) On both sides of its junction with Page Road to the existing Bus Stop Clearway and a point opposite for a distance of 13 metres in a north westerly direction. CAMPBELL ROAD – DYL – On the southeast side from its junction with Aerodrome Road for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction. CANTERBURY ROAD – DYL – On the west side from its junction with Aerodrome Road for a distance of 9 metres in a northerly direction. CORBETT ROAD – DYL – On the south side from its junction with Page Road for a distance of 11 metres in a south easterly direction. PAGE ROAD – DYL – (1) On the northwest side from its junction with Atkinson Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south westerly direction. (2) On the northwest side from its junction with Atkinson Road for a distance of 6 metres in a north easterly direction. (3) On the southeast side from its junction with Corbett Road for a distance of 5 metres in a south westerly direction. (4) SYL between Mon-Fri 7am to 7pm on the southeast side from a point 5 metres south of its junction with Corbett Road for a distance of 45 metres in a south westerly direction. PANNELL DRIVE – DYL – On both sides from its junction with Atkinson Road for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction.

The Order was made on 20 March 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 21 March 2025.

MAIDSTONE AREA

(VARIOUS ROADS, MAIDSTONE) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLDIATION) ORDER 2024

(AMENDMENT No.16) ORDER 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following order:-

The effect of the Order is to place double yellow lines on the following length of roads in Maidstone:-

ABBOTS FIELD – DYL – On both sides of its junction with Fant Lane for a distance of 11 metres in a north easterly direction. ASH GROVE – DLY -  On the north side to a point 15 metres west and to a point 15 metres east of its junction with Conway Road. BEAUMONT ROAD – DYL - On both sides from its junction with Frant Lane for a distance of 11 metres in a notherly direction. BONNINGTON ROAD – DYL – On the north side to a point 15 meters north east and to a point 15 meters south west of its junction with Littlebourne Road. CONWAY ROAD – DYL – On both sides from its junction with Ash grove for a distance of 15 metres in a notherly direction. CLAYGATE – DYL – On the north side from the southern boundary of 1 Forge Lodge for a distance of 34 metres in an easterly direction. FANT LANE – DYL – (1) On the north east side to a point 11 meters west and to a point 12 metres south east of its junction with Beaumont Road. (2) On the north east side to a point 11 metres north west and to a point 11 metres south east of its junction with Abbots Field. (3) On the south west side across both entrances to Bower Grove School place school keep clear markings to be enforced Mon-Thurs 8am to 9am and 3pm to 4pm and on Fri 8am to 9am and 12.30pm to 13.30pm.  HAWKWOOD – DYL – On both sides of its junction with Howard Drive for a distance of 15 metres in a westerly direction. HOWARD DRIVE – DYL – (1) On the west side to a point 15 metres north and to a point 15 metres south of its junction with Hawkwood. (2) On the west side to a point 15 metres south and to a point 15 metres north of its junction with The Weavers. LITTLEBOURNE ROAD – DYL -  On both sides of its junction with Bonnington Road for a distance of 15 metres in a north westerly direction. THE WEAVERS – DYL – On both sides of its junction with Howard Drive for a distance of 15 metres in a south westerly direction. TYLAND LANE – DYL – On the north west side extend the existing lines on both sides by a distance of 10 metres west and east of its junction with Chatham Road.

SEVENOAKS AREA

(CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT No.4) ORDER 2024

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order is to remove a section of shared residents parking with limited bays due to a new access on the following length of roads in Pendennis Road, Sevenoaks:-

PENDENNIS ROAD – (1) On the east side place remove section of shared parking bays from a point 21 metres from its junction with Mount Harry Road for a distance of 8.5 metres in a southerly direction and replace with double yellow lines. LETTER BOX LANE – Has been re-plotted due to being plotted incorrectly.

The Order was made on 20 March 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 21 March 2025.

(AMENDMENT No.8) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that the Kent County Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order is to remove a section of shared residents parking with limited bays due to a new access on the following length of roads in Sevenoaks:-

MOUNT HARRY ROAD – To reduce the shared use parking bay outside 5 Mount Harry Road for a distance  of 3.6 metres in an easterly direction.

Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1(1), (2), 2(1) to (3) and 4(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) as amended and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order

The effect of the named Order will be to remove the Cycle Prohibition on the following length of path.

(AMENDMENT No.13) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order is to introduce no waiting at any time double yellow lines (DYL) on the following length of road in Sittingbourne, Swale:-

BELL ROAD – DYL – (1) On the east side from a point 30 metres north of its junction and opposite with The Mews for a distance of 14 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On the west side 7 metres from its junction with The Mews remove the 13 metres of Single lines and place a Bus Stand with No Stopping At Any Time except for buses for a distance of 46 metres in a northerly direction. (3) On its west side from a point 37 metres south of its junction with Avenue of Remembrance place a Bus Stand with No Stopping Mon-Fri 2pm-3.30pm except buses for a distance of 84 metres in a southerly direction.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

COURT ROAD – DYL – On its south west side at its junction with Down Barton Road for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction. DOWN BARTON ROAD – DYL – (1) On the south east side to a point 10 meters north east and to a point 10 meters south east of its junction with Bridges Close. (2) On the south side at its junction The Street for a distance of 20 metres in a south westerly direction (3) On the north west side at its junction Court Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south westerly direction. THE LENGTH – DYL – (1) On the south west side of its junction with Manor Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction (2) On both sides from the western boundary of number 4 Sea View Cottages The Length for a distance of 57 metres in a south easterly direction. (3) On both sides of its junction with A28 Canterbury Road extending the existing double yellow lines for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction. MANOR ROAD – DYL – (1) On the north west side of its junction with The Street for a distance of 17 metres in a southerly direction (2) On the east side of its junction with The Length for a distance 18 metres in a southerly direction. THE STREET – DYL – (1) On the south side at its junction with Down Barton Road for a distance of 20 metres in a south easterly direction.(2) On the south west side of its junction with Manor Road for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction.

(SPEED LIMITS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2022

(AMENDMENT No.6) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make the above-named Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to: -

The effect of the order would be to reduce the current 40MPH speed limit to 30MPH on the following road in Margate, Thanet: -

RAMSGATE ROAD - From a point 31 metres north of its junction with Chapel Hill Close for a distance of 220 metres in a north westerly direction to the existing 30 speed limit.

The Order was made on 20 March 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 21 March 2025.
