Credenhill Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Credenhill Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.54) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 31st March 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
CREDENHILL ROAD
From its junction with Ludlow Road to rear of No.55 Ludlow Road.
From its junction with Allaway Avenue to rear of No. 40 Allaway Avenue
B) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
CREDENHILL ROAD
In its entirety. (Both sides in 50 metres sections.)
C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate CityFibre works.
D) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 31st March 2025 to 25th April 2025 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place in sections as notified by signage and letters to residents in advance of works taking place.
E) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Credenhill Road, Allaway Avenue, Walford Road, Ludlow Road and Allaway Avenue, Walford Road, Ludlow Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
