PUBLIC NOTICE

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL

(MEADOW LANE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the have made
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the
Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting
vehicles from proceeding on Meadow Lane in both
directions at its junction with Birmingham New Road.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken from 17 March 2025 until 21 March 2025.
The diversion routes are:
· Northern Vehicular diversion route: Birmingham New Road
and Rookery Road.
· Southern Vehicular Diversion route: Ettingshall Road,
Foster Avenue, Shaw Road and Birmingham New Road.
The Order is required to facilitate trial holes and
investigative works of an unknown gas main by Cadent.
