Main Street, Brantingham - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic For Proposed Cctv And Patching Lining Works

What is happening?

The East Riding Ofyorkshire Council 
(Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025 Main Street, Brantingham (Part) 

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding on foot/whether on foot, pedal cycle or on horseback along Main Street, Brantingham (between I Sandringham Cottages and the junction with The Green). 

The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed CCTV and patching lining works to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. 

It is anticipated that the works will be completed by Tuesday 8 April 2025. The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Main Street, Ellerker Road, Burrill Lane and Spout Hill, Brantingham CP, Ellerker CP, Dale Ward. 

The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services. 

The Order will commence Wednesday 26 March 2025 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
