Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along:

Temporary Road Closures:

MD02/0425 - SD001186 - Pound Lane in the parish of Downhead. Pound Lane from the junction with Pound Lane To Luxtons Lane, northwards for a total distance of 384 metres.

MD03/0425 - SD001187 - A371 Haybridge Hill / Haybridge Hill to Easton Hill in the parish of St Cuthbert Out. A371 Haybridge Hill / Haybridge Hill to Easton Hill from 90 metres southeast from the junction with Haybridge Lane to the junction with Titlands Lane. A total distance of 445 metres.

MD03/0425 - SD001188 - A371 Haybridge Hill to Easton Hill in the parish of St Cuthbert Out. A371 Haybridge Hill to Easton Hill from the junction with Titlands Lane to the junction with Doctors Hill. A total distance of 900 metres.

MD03/0425 - SD001189 - A371 Easton Hill in the parish of St Cuthbert Out. A371 Easton Hill from the junction with Doctors Hill, north-westwards for a total distance of 1100 metres.

MD04/0425 - SD001190 - Gypsy Lane in the parish of St Cuthbert Out. Gypsy Lane from the junction with Burcott Lane to the junction with the B3139 Elm Close. A total distance of 315 metres.

MD14/0425 - SD001200 - Cockmill Lane in the parish of East Pennard. Cockmill Lane from the junction with Cockmill Croft Farm to the junction with Pylle Road. A total distance of 1500 metres.

MD15/0425 - SD001201 - Cockmill Lane in the parish of East Pennard. Cockmill Lane from the junction with Middleway Road to the junction with Cockmill Croft Farm.Atotal distance of 1440 metres.

MD16/0425 - SD001202 - Cockmill Lane in the parish of East Pennard. Cockmill Lane from the junction with Church Lane to the junction with Middleway Road. A total distance of 290 metres.

MD17/0425 - SD001203 - Park Lane in the parish of Downhead. Park Lane from the junction with Manor Farm to the junction with Old Wells Road. A total distance of 275 metres.

MD18/0425 - SD001204 - Pound Lane to Luxtons Lane in the parish of Downhead. Pound Lane to Luxtons Lane from the junction with Luxtons Lane to the junction Pound Lane. A total distance of 185 metres.

MD19/0425 - SD001205 - Slait Hill to Pound Lane in the parish of Downhead. Slait Hill to Pound Lane from the junction with Heale Farm to the junction with Pound Lane to Luxtons Lane. A total distance of 1320 metres.

MD20/0425 - SD001206 – Slait Hill in the parish of Cranmore. Slait Hill from the junction with the A361 Dallimore Lane to Slait Hill to the junction with Heale Farm. A total distance of 910 metres.

MD21/0425 - SD001207 - Foghamshire Lane to Gare Hill in the parish of Trudoxhill. Foghamshire Lane to Gare Hill from the junction with Bunns Lane, south-eastwards for a total distance of 2640 metres

MD22/0425 - SD001208 - Compton Road in the parish of Shepton Mallet. Compton Road from the junction with Ridge Lane to the junction with Middleton Lane. A total distance of 435 metres.

MD32/0425 - SD001218 - Green Street in the parish of Ston Easton. Green Street from the junction with Chicks Lane to the junction with A37 Bristol Road / High Street. A total distance of 490 metres.

MD35/0425 - SD001221 - Nedge Lane in the parish of Chewton Mendip. Nedge Lane from the junction with theA39 Nedge Hill to the junction with Tor Hole Road.Atotal distance of 1010 metres.

MD36/0425 - SD001222 - Clay Lane in the parish of Chewton Mendip. Clay Lane from the junction with Tor Hole Road to the junction with Bell Road. A total distance of 175 metres.

This Order will enable Kiely Bros to carry out phased prep works, surface dressing, application of Kiely Lock and associated works such as stud removal/renewal and lining works on behalf of Somerset Highways. The Order becomes effective on 27th March 2025 and will remain in force for eighteen months. 
The phased works are expected to commence any time after 1st April 2025. 
The phased works will be for ONE DAY within the stated period and the road will be reopened when no works are taking place. The works are phased and there may be a need for additional closures at a later date.

Please note that should you require to view a closure which is more than two weeks ahead, you will need to register for free with One.Network. 
The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements. 
Advanced warning signs will be installed 10 days prior to the commencement of works for each closure.
