Gloucestershire, Temporary Road Closures Due To Resurfacing & Ash Dieback Works
What is happening?
GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF C85 MANOR ROAD (SWINDON VILLAGE WARD) CHELTENHAM BOROUGH
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C85 Manor Road from its junction with Runnings Road to its junction with Tewkesbury Road for a distance of approximately 500 meters.
The reason for the said closure is to allow the re-surfacing of the existing carriageway, due to restricted road width.
The road is expected to be closed between the hours of 07:00hrs and 17:00hrs on the 20th March 2025 or until completion of the works.

Emergency access, pedestrian access to premises on or near the road, and access to properties will be maintained.

The roads are expected to be closed and restricted on a rolling programme commencing 1st April 2025, where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closure is in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closure taking effect. This order can permit the closure and restriction of the roads in any order or simultaneously as required and it is anticipated all works will be completed by 31st March 2026.
