A529 Audlem, North Shropshire - Various New Speed Limits
What is happening?
THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL

(SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2007 (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2025
On 11 March 2025 Shropshire Council made an order to introduce the following speed limits on the A529:
30mph Speed Limit
That length of the A529 which runs between Audlem and Adderley from a point 413 metres
west of its junction with Station Road, Adderley for a distance of 191 metres in a generally
north westerly direction.
That length of the A529 Audlem Road from a point 324 metres south of its junction with
Rectory Lane to a point 121 metres west of its junction with Station Road.
40mph Speed Limit
That length of the A529 which runs between Audlem and Adderley from a point 604 metres
west of its junction with Station Road, Adderley for a distance of 311 metres in a generally
north westerly direction.
From the county boundary with Cheshire for a distance of 139 metres in a southerly
direction.
50mph Speed Limit
That length of the A529 which runs between Audlem and Adderley from a point 139 metres
south of the county boundary at the southern end of Green Lane, Audlem at the centre of
the watercourse to a point 915 metres north west of its junction with Station Road,
Adderley.
Any existing speed limits at the above locations will be revoked.
These changes will come into effect on 15 March 2025.
A copy of the order may be examined during normal office hours (8:45am-5:00pm Monday
to Thursday, and 8:45am-4:00pm on Fridays) at Shropshire Council, The Guildhall,
Frankwell, Shrewsbury.
If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or any provisions in it, on the grounds that
they are not within the powers conferred by The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on
the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not
been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from 11 March 2025,
apply for that purpose to the High Court.
