THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL

(RETREAT STREET)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Retreat Street in both directions at its junction with Lea Road.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 24 March 2025 until 4 April 2025.
The diversion routes are: Clockwise: Lea Road, Penn Road, Stubbs Road, Lea Road, Owen Road, Great Brickkiln Street and Graiseley Street. Anti Clockwise:
Graiseley Street, Great Brickkiln Street, Owen Road and Lea Road.
The Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works by Cadent Gas.
