(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on the following sections of footway in Cramlington in the County of Northumberland.
U9574 Footway between 1-6 And 15-19 Alderley Way from outside the front of Number 1 heading in a southerly direction for a length of 34 metres.
U9574 Footway outside 6-14 Alderley Way from the gable end of Number 6 footway between 1-6 and 15-19 Alderley Way heading in a westerly direction for a length of 30 metres
The Order is to be effective from the 14th April 2025 until the 6th June 2025.
It is expected that the footways will only be closed from the 14th April 2025 until the 9th May 2025 and that they will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 6th June 2025
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being from the gable end of Number 14 U9574 Footway outside 14-18 Alderley Way, Alderley Way, U9574 Footway outside 1-6 Alderley Way and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northern Gas Networks to allow for gas mains replacement works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
