Ashton New Road - Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic For Facilitate Resurfacing Works

Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14 (As Amended)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC142488594: The City of Manchester (Ashton New Road, Clayton & Openshaw Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Ashton New Road.
The alternative routes for traffic will be: Alan Turing Way, Ashton Old Road, Fairfield Road, Edge Lane, Ashton New Road.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate resurfacing works.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from 17th March 2025 to 20th March 2025 and between 24th March 2025 to 27th March 2025 between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00.
The order shall come into operation on 17th March 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
