What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) C61 (Part), Sedgehill and Semley: from its junction with C298 to its junction with Share Lane to enable Openreach to carry out associated works. Alternative route via C61 (unaffected length) – C25 – C43 – C298 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 April 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 for 1 day. B) C56 (Part), Salisbury: from its junction with A345 Beehive roundabout to its junction with Portway to enable Openreach to carry out telecoms equipment repairs and associated works. Alternative route via C56 (unaffected length) – C294 – High Post Road – C292 – A345 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 April 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 until 15 April 2025. C) A3094 (Part), Quidhampton: from its junction with A36 to its junction with Lower Road to enable National Highways to carry out traffic signal loop cutting and associated works. Alternative route via A3094 (unaffected length) – A338 – A36 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 10 April 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 21:00 and 06:00 for 1 night. D) Milton Road (Part), Salisbury: from its junction with A338 for a distance of approximately 1.0m in a north easterly direction in Rowbarrow Northbound Carriageway (Part), Salisbury, from its junction with The Crescent to its junction with A338 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out footway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via Milton Road (unaffected length) – Burford Road – A338 and vice versa. Alternative route via Rowbarrow (unaffected length) – Odstock Road – A338 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 07 April 2025 and the closures will be required until 17 April 2025. E) C32 (Part), Pitton, Farley, Winterslow and Firsdown: from its junction with C321 to its junction with C289 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge overrun repairs and other associated works. Alternative route via C289 – A30 – C321 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 07 April 2025 and the closures will be required between the hours of 07:30 and 17:00 until 19 April 2025. Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

F) Milton Road (Part), Amesbury: from its western junction with Cadnam Crescent to its eastern junction with Cadnam Crescent to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out footway works and build-outs to enable engineers to access existing footway to provide service areas for residents and customer. Alternative route via Cadnam Crescent and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 17 March 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 for 2 days. G) Chitterne Bottom (Part), Woodhenge: from its junction with A360 for a distance of approximately 120m in a northerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out drainage and ditch works. Alternative route via A360 – Camp Hill – C42 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 20 March 2025 and the closure will be required until 28 March 2025. H) C25 (Part), Hindon and Fonthill Gifford: from its property known as Reed House Farm to its property known as No.33 Stops Hill to enable Openreach to carry out pole testing and associated works. Alternative route via C25 (unaffected length) – C43 – B3089 – C25 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 March 2025 and closures will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. I) C198 (Part), Shute: from its junction with C198 to its junction with A342 to enable Openreach to carry out communication equipment replacement and associated works. Alternative route via CoHill Hill – Fosbury Road – High Street – Village Street – Upton Road – Itchingore Road – A343 – Saxon Way – Goch Way – Hatherden Lane – Andover Road – Hungerford Lane and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 March 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 for 2 days. J) C42 (Part), Durnford and Woodford: from its junction with Stratford Road for a distance of approximately 500m in a northerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole testing and other associated works. Alternative route via Beach Walk – Church Bottom – C42 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 18 March 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. K) C326 (Part), Bowerchalke: from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Quidham Street to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via C326 (unaffected length) – C65 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 17 March 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 until 21 March 2025. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that these closures will be required to complete dependent upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

SECTION 14(1) AND 14(7) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:

North Street (Part), Wilton: from its junction with A30 to its junction with Riverside. And to temporarily suspend the existing One-Way Order on North Street, Wilton and allow for diversion route to enable SGN to carry out gas upgrades and associated works. Alternative route via North Street (unaffected length) – A30 – A36 and vice versa. The closure, restriction and diversion route will come into operation on 17 March 2025 and the closure will be required until 14 April 2025.

The closure and works will be indicated by traffic signs. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, VARIOUS PARISHES) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO.53) 2024

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order previously came into operation on 04 November 2024 will now recommence on 18 March 2025. It is required to enable carriageway patching, surface dressing and associated maintenance works. The Order has a maximum duration period of 18 months. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The closures are anticipated to take place between 18 March 2025 and 31 May 2025.

D) C283 (Part) Church Bottom, Woodford: from its junction with A360 to its junction with C42.

E) C42 (Part), Woodford: south bound only, from its junction with Woodford Bridge.

F) C42 (Part) Phillips Lane, Salisbury: north bound only, from its junction with Stratford Bridge/Stratford Road to enable City of Salisbury Athletics and Running Club to carry out a road running event.

The closure will be indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 06 April 2025 and the closures will be required between the hours of 10:00 and 12:00 (noon) for one day. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, ANSTY AND SWALLOWCLIFFE) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following roads:

  • Ansty (Restricted Roads):
    • Ansty Coombe Lane – from a point 95 metres south of its junction with C316 Vale Hill to a point 495 metres north of its junction with A30.
    • UC 4264 Coombe Lane, Ansty – from its junction with C25 High Street to a point 38 metres southwest of its junction with Kings Lane.
    • UC 4266 Blind Lane, Ansty – from its junction with C25 High Street to its junction with Kings Lane.

  • Swallowcliffe (Restricted Roads):
    • A30
    • High Street
    • C316 Vale Hill
    • Kings Lane
    • Blind Lane
    • Ansty – 15 metres north of its junction with C25
