Wood Lane (D1426) Caterham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 12 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Wood Lane (D1426) Caterham which extends from the northwestern property boundary line of “13 Wood Lane” to the northwestern property boundary line of “27 Wood Lane”. 

Alternative Route – Wood Lane (D1426), Birch Avenue (D1426), Heath Road (D1426) and Wood Lane (D1426) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.


Withey Meadows (D586) Hookwood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 12 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Withey Meadows (D586) Hookwood which extends from the southwestern property boundary line of “35 Withey Meadows” to the southwestern property boundary line of “45 Withey Meadows”.

Alternative Route – No diversion route available.

This Order is required to allow UKPN to carry out electrical works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 8:00am and 6:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 24 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.


D381 Clay Lane, South Nutfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 12 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D381 Clay Lane, South Nutfield that extends from the access for “Paddock Farm” for a distance of 100m both directions. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to carry out pole testing and/or connection and/or installation and/ or maintenance works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 26 March 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, equestrians, cyclists and pedestrians will be maintained at all times. 

Alternative route: – Clay Lane, Hogtrough Lane and Bower Hill Lane.


Reigate Road (A217) Sidlow Temporary Traffic Management Order 2025 

On 7 March 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: 

(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Reigate Road (A217) Sidlow as it extends from the northern boundary of the property known as “9 Reigate Road” to the northern boundary of the property known as “15 Reigate Road”; and 

(b) impose a 30mph speed limit on that length of Reigate Road (A217) Sidlow as it extends from a point 60 metres north of the access road into property known as “9 Reigate Road” and a point 10 metres south of the northern boundary of the property known as “15 Reigate Road”. 

Alternative Route: Bletchingley Road, Pendell Road, Little Common Lane, A25 (Castle Street and Bletchingly Road), Church Hill and Nutfield Marsh Road, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to enable UKPN to install a new electrical connection and/or associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 8.00pm and 6.00am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation overnight with the speed limit being in operation when works are not being carried out, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to the houses within the closure, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.


Cross Oak Lane (D356) Salfords Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025 

On 7 March 2024, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Cross Oak Lane (D356) Salfords as it extends from its junction with Bonehurst Road (A23) to its junction with Orchard Drive (D1311). 

Alternative Route: Picketts Lane, Honey Crock Lane and Brighton Road (A23), or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to enable the council to allow highway construction works and/or associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7.00am and 3.30pm within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 24 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency services, access to the houses within the closure, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.


Park Road (C134) Banstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025 

On 12 March 2024, Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Park Road (C134) Banstead as extends from a point 267 metres north of and a point 11 metres south of its junction with Mint Road (X68461). 

Alternative Route: Park Road, B2217 (High Street), B2219 (Bolters Lane and Holly Lane) and Park Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable the council to allow drainage improvement works and/or associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 10 weeks between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 16 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24-hours a day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for the houses within the closure will be maintained at all times.


Ridlands Rise D436) and Ridlands Lane (D474) Limpsfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 12 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of (a) Ridlands Rise (D474) Limpsfield as extends from its junction with (D474) Stoneleigh Road. 

Alternative Route – Stoneleigh Road; Moorhouse Road; Ridlands Lane; and Ridlands Rise or this same route in reverse (b) Ridlands Lane (D436) Limpsfield as extends from its junction with (D474) Stoneleigh Road north-westwards for a distance of 110 metres. 

Alternative Route – Ridlands Lane; Moorhouse Road; Kent Hatch Road; and Ridlands Road or this same route in reverse. 

The Order is required to allow telegraph pole replacement and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over two days between the hours of 9am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 24 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.


Caterham By-Pass (A22) Caterham Temporary Speed Limit Order 2025 

On 12 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be; a) to prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding at a speed greater than 30 MPH in that length of the northbound carriageway of; (a) Caterham By-Pass (A22) Caterham as extends from a distance of 400 metres from its junction with (D1444) Tillingdown Lane and for a distance of 600 metres in a northerly direction; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Caterham By-Pass (A22) Caterham (50 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in Part (a) of this Notice. 

This Temporary Traffic Order is required to allow a safe working zone in connection with construction/ maintenance works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 months, within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 24 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary speed limit which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

The speed limit imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.


Wonham Lane (D310) Betchworth Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 12 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and (14)(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- 

(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Wonham Lane (D310) Betchworth which extends from its junction with The Street north-eastwards for a distance of 100m; and 

(b) suspend “Surrey County Council D310 Wonham Lane BetchworthTemporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety. 

This Order is required to enable Road Traffic Management to facilitate telegraph pole replacement works and any other associated telecommunication works, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 9am and 5pm within the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 18 March 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and the suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. 

Alternative Route – Wonham Lane, Sandy Lane, Old Road and The Street.


A24 Horsham Road, Holmwood (southbound) and D311 Boxhill Road, Box Hill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 12 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- 

(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice; and 

(b) revoke part (f) of the Schedule to “Surrey County Council Various Roads in Mole Valley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2023”. 

This Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said road, namely surface dressing and major maintenance works, to be carried out by Surrey County Council, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 17 March 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. 

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. 

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. 

Schedule 
1. that length of the southbound carriageway of A24 Horsham Road, Holmwood which extends from its junction with Holmwood View Road southwards for a distance of 1300m (opposite the junction with Public Footpath No.267 (Holmwood)). Alternative Route – A24 Horsham Road, A24 Deepdene Avenue, A25 Reigate Road, A25 West Street, A25 London Road, A25 Castlefield Road, A25 Church Street, A217 Bancroft Road, A217 Bell Street, A217 Cockshot Hill, A217 Dovers Green Road, A217 Reigate Road, A23 London Road (West Sussex), A23 Crawley Avenue (West Sussex), A2220 Horsham Road (West Sussex), A264 Crawley Road (West Sussex), A24 Dorking Road (West Sussex) and A24 Horsham Road;

2. that length of D311 Boxhill Road, Box Hill which extends from its junction with Headley Common Road to its junction with Bramblehall Lane. Alternative Route – B2033 Headley Common Road, B2032 Pebble Hill Road, B2032 Station Road, A25 Reigate Road, A24 Deepdene Avenue, A24 London Road, B2209 Old London Road, D311 ZigZag Road and D311 Boxhill Road. 

Bakers Mead (D403) Godstone
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bakers Mead (D403) Godstone as extends from its junction with Ockleys Mead (D403) in a northwards direction to the end of the cul-de-sac.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

The Order is required to allow SES Water to facilitate a new water connection and all associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days during the hours of 8.00am to 4.00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 6 April 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents and emergency services will be maintained using road boards.


D1167 Bolsover Grove, Merstham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 12 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D1167 Bolsover Grove, Merstham. 

This Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said road, namely footway reconstruction works and major maintenance works, to be carried out by Surrey County Council, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 17 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

Reigate Road (A240) Burgh Heath Temporary Prohibition of Left Turn Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles that are travelling south eastbound on Reigate Road (A240) Burgh Heath from turning left into (A217) Brighton Road. 

Alternative Route: (A217) Brighton Road, and (A240) Reigate Road, or this route in reverse. This Temporary Traffic Order is required to facilitate electrical utility works and/or any other associated works to be carried out for, or on behalf of UKPN. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 April 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary prohibition, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

The above restriction shall not apply to vehicles being used in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restrictions or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.


St Albans Road (D1206) and Somers Road (D1207) Reigate Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of; (a) St Albans Road (D1206) Reigate; (b) that length of Somers Road (D1207) Reigate as extends from its junction with (D1206) St Albans Road and for a distance of 10 metres either side. Alternative Route: (1) Somers Road, Nutley Lane, Yorke Road, (A217) London Road, (A217) Reigate Hill, and Brokes Road, or this route in reverse; (2) St Albans Road, Brokes Road, (A217) Reigate Hill, and Somers Road, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 9 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 07 April 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. 

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.


Chalkpit Lane (C74) Oxted Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Chalkpit Lane (C74) Oxted as extends from its junction with (D441) Gordons Way to a point in line with the common boundary between No.41 and No.43 Chalkpit Lane; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Chalkpit Lane (C74) Oxted Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety. 

Alternative Route: Chalkpit Lane, Gordons Way, Barrow Green Road, (A25) Godstone Road, (A25) Oxted Road, Tandridge Hill Lane, Gangers Hill, The Ridge, and Chalkpit Lane, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate overhead structural works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 09.30am and 3.30pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 April 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.


Westway (D1399) Caterham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Westway (D1399) Caterham as extends from its junction with (B2031) Chaldon Road to its junction with (D1399) Money Road. 

Alternative Route: (B2031) Chaldon Road, Coulsdon Road, and Westway, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 29 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 April 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.


Cogmans Lane (D369) Smallfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Cogmans Lane (D369) Smallfield. 

Alternative Route: Normans Road, Chapel Road, Redehall Road, Plough Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate drainage utility works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 08 April 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no vehicular access through the closure, and all traffic including emergency service vehicles, will be required to follow the diversion route. 

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.


Doghurst Lane (D1083) Chipstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Doghurst Lane (D1083) Chipstead which extends from its junction with Walpole Avenue (D1083) to its junction with High Road (C136).

Alternative Route – High Road (C136), Hazelwood Lane (C137) and
Doghurst Lane (D1083) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 8:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 09 April 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.


River Lane (D2566) & Mole Road (D2566) Fetcham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) River Lane (D2566) Fetcham which extends from the northeastern property boundary line of “Hawthorn Cottage” to the southeastern property boundary line of “Tanglewood” and; (b) Mole Road (D2566) Fetcham which extends from the northwestern property boundary line of “No. 5 Mole Road” to its junction with River Lane (D2566).

Alternative Route – No diversion route available.

This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out fibre cabling works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 April 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.


High Street (D2536) and East Street (D2557) Bookham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025 

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of: (a) High Street (D2536) Bookham as extends from its junction with Lower Road (D265) to a point 15 metres southeast of this junction and (b) East Street (D2557) Bookham as extends from its junction with Lower Road (D265) to a point 13 metres south east of this junction.

Alternative Route – 1. Lower Road, Eastwick Road and A246 (Guildford Road), or the same route in reverse. 2. Lower Road, The Lorne, Hawkwood Rise and A246 (Guildford Road), or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate gas works and/or other associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between 8.00am and 4.00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 7 April 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Various in Mole Valley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:-
