NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 HAMPSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL THE HAMPSHIRE (EASTLEIGH BOROUGH NO.13) (PARISH OF FAIR OAK AND HORTON HEATH - PART OF FOOTPATH NO.32) PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT AND DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2024

On 27 February 2025 Hampshire County Council confirmed the above Order made under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to extinguish the public footpath commencing at a junction with Fair Oak and Horton Heath Footpath 501 and proceeding in a south-easterly direction to a junction with Fair Oak and Horton Heath Footpaths 736a and 764.

A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the offices of Hampshire County Council, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UD, and at the offices of Eastleigh Borough Council, Eastleigh House, Upper Market Street, Eastleigh, SO50 9YN at all reasonable hours; and online at www.hants.gov.uk/publicnotices. The Order came into force on 27 February 2025, but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 14 March 2025 make an application to the High Court.
