TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH ECN 73 (CHURCHDOWN PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath ECN 73 from its junction with Brookfield Road in a generally Northerly direction for approximately 640 metres to its junction with Public Footpaths ECN 72 and ECN 36 and shown on the Map by a bold solid black line marked A to B.

The said Public Footpath falls within Churchdown Parish in Tewkesbury Borough, within the County of Gloucestershire.

The said closure is necessary to safeguard the public while repair works to the water mains are completed.

The public footpath is expected to be closed and restricted at various times between 31st March 2025 and 31st September 2025 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closure is in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site 2 weeks prior to any closure taking effect.

Alternative Route – as indicated on the Map by a dash black line marked A to D to C to B. Emergency access and pedestrian access to adjoining properties will be maintained. Date: 13th March 2025. TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATH CHS 16 (SWINDON PARISH) CHELTENHAM BOROUGH

NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has further extended the Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath CHS 16 from its junction with the Track, from Tewkesbury Road to Manor Road past Swindon Farm extending in a generally North Easterly direction for approximately 360 metres to its junction with Dog Bart Lane.

The said closure is necessary to safeguard the public whilst construction works take place.

This Temporary Closure Order came into force on the 25th October 2021, and it was anticipated the said Public Footpath would be closed until 25th April 2022. However, it was not possible to complete the said works within that timescale and it was therefore necessary for a further application to be made to the Secretary of State for an extension of the said closure. This extension was granted and the said Public Footpath remained closed until 25th October 2023, and subsequently until 25th April 2025. However, as the said works are still not complete, the Secretary of State has granted a further extension and the said Public Footpath will therefore now remain closed until 25th October 2026 or until completion of the said works, whichever is the earlier.

Alternative route – not available. Emergency access, and pedestrian access to properties will not be maintained as there are no adjoining premises that require access. Date: 13th March 2025. For Assistant Director of Legal Services. GT/73624, Legal Services, Shire Hall, Gloucester GL1 2TG. Please contact: 08000 514 514
