Bellegrove Road, Welling - Notice of Making an Order

1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable gas mains replacement by JDT Utilities on behalf of Southern Gas Networks the effects of which will be the introduction of:

      • Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) Eastcote Road for 50 meters up to and including the junction with Bellegrove Road
      • Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) Sherwood Road for 50 meters up to and including the junction with Bellegrove Road
      • Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) Hill View Drive for 50 meters up to and including the junction with Bellegrove Road
      • Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) Cumberland Court for 50 meters up to and including the junction with Bellegrove Road
      • Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) Wickham Street for 50 meters up to and including the junction with Bellegrove Road

2. The Order will come into effect on 13 March 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 6 Weeks.

3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:

      • Bellegrove Road, Upper Wickham Lane, Wickham Street
      • Hill View Drive, Sandringham Drive
      • Bellegrove Road, Welling Way, Sherwood Road, Ashmore Grove, Eastcote Road

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2025

Burcharbro Road, Abbey Wood - Notice of Intention

2. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable JDT Utilities on behalf of Southern Gas Works to undertake their Gas Mains Replacement works, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:

      • Prohibition of traffic on Burcharbro Road, Abbey Wood
      • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition in Burcharbro Road entire length and both sides of the carriageway

        Restrictions to be removed when not required.

2. The Order will come into effect on 24 March 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 4 weeks.

3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:

Pinewood Road, West Heath Road, and reverse.

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2025

Fairwater Avenue, Welling - Notice of Intention

1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable highway improvement works by a Council contractor on behalf of London Borough of Bexley, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:

      • Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Fairwater Avenue from the junction with Merlin Road to the junction with Westwood Lane, Welling
      • No waiting, no loading (Parking Restrictions) in Fairwater Avenue from the junction with Merlin Road to the junction with Westwood Lane, Welling

2. The Order will come into effect on 24 March 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.

3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be available via:

      • Westwood Lane, Birch Grove, Merlin Road and reverse
      • Westwood Lane, Bradenham Avenue, Merlin Road North, Clinton Avenue, Westwood Lane, Birch Grove, Merlin Road and reverse

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Bellegrove Road, Welling - Notice of Making an Order

1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable gas mains replacement by JDT Utilities on behalf of Southern Gas Networks. The effects of this will be the introduction of:

      • Cycle Lane suspension from Welling Way to the boundary with the Royal Borough of Greenwich
      • No waiting, no loading as detailed in Schedule One of this order

2. The Order will come into effect on 13 March 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 6 weeks.

3. Whilst the works are in progress, no alternative routes will be available.

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER 2025

Footpath 242, Thames Pathway, Belvedere - Notice of Making an Order

1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned footpath, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an Order has been made, to enable construction of a bridge and maintenance to the Thames Path by TSL on behalf of Lidl GB Ltd. The effects of which will be to close Footpath 242 to pedestrian traffic between the junction with Crabtree Manor Way and the rear of Lidl Distribution Centre.

2. The Order will come into effect on 13 March 2025 and is valid for a period of 6 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 16 weeks.

3. Whilst the works are in progress, Thames Path, Cycle Route, Church Manorway, Mulberry Way, Anderson Way, Picardy Manorway, Norman Road, and Footpath 4 will be available for pedestrians.

        • Footpath 242, Crabtree Manorway North, Mulberry Way, Church Manorway, Cycle Route

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, to emergency service personnel, or to persons undertaking the works.

5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

LONDON BOROUGH OF BEXLEY

NOTICE OF CHANGES TO PENALTY CHARGES AND ADDITIONAL FEES

Following a determination by the London Councils Transport and Environment Committee, approval by the Mayor of London, and having received no objection within the period of one month of notifying the Secretary of State for Transport, the following increase in penalty charges and additional fees will take effect in the 32 London boroughs and the City of London from 7 April 2025.

As such, the changes to the penalty charges issued within the London Borough of Bexley of the above date are as follows:

Parking penalties at the higher level will increase by £30 to:

    • £160 (Band A) reduced to £80 if paid within 14 days from the date of issue of the Penalty Charge Notice.
    • £140 (Band B) reduced to £70 if paid within 14 days from the date of issue of the Penalty Charge Notice.

Parking penalties at the lower level will increase by £30 to:

    • £110 (Band A) reduced to £55 if paid within 14 days from the date of issue of the Penalty Charge Notice.
    • £90 (Band B) reduced to £45 if paid within 14 days from the date of issue of the Penalty Charge Notice.

Bus Lane and Moving Traffic contraventions will also increase by £30 as of the above date to:

    • Penalty for contraventions of bus lane regulations - £160
    • Penalty for a moving traffic contravention - £160

The Bexley (Welling Town Centre) (Parking Places) (Amendment No. 5)

Traffic Order 2025

The Bexley (Waiting and Loading) (Amendment 31) Traffic Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley has on 10 March 2025 made the above-titled Traffic Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49, and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985.

The general effect of the Bexley (Welling Town Centre) (Parking Places) (Amendment 5) Traffic Order 2025 would be to:

a) Introduce resident permit holder bays, operating 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday on Carlton Road and Orchard Road, Welling

The general effect of the Bexley (Waiting and Loading) (Amendment 31) Traffic Order 2025 would be to:

b) Add lengths of waiting restrictions, operating 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday on Carlton Road and Orchard Road, Welling

c) Add lengths of no waiting at any time to New Road and Westbrook Road at its junction with Orchard Road, Welling

d) Add lengths of no waiting at any time to Orchard Road and Carlton Road, Welling

Copies of the Order, which becomes operational on 14 April 2025, the corresponding Parent Order (and the Orders that have amended that Order); the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order and plans which indicate the length of roads to which the Order relates, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the Contact Centre, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7AT.

Persons desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the day on which the Order were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
