Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 13th March 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (ROCKINGHAM DRIVE, LINFORD WOOD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2138)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road to allow Vodafone to carry out telecoms works and installation of a pole: -
For the purpose of the above Order, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, wait in or proceed along the following length of road: -
Rockingham Drive, Linford Wood – opposite The Forum (24th March 2025 Between 8:00am and 6:00pm).
Access will be maintained via marshals at either end of the closure.
The above closure will be in effect from 24th March 2025. Signs will be erected several days in advance to inform the public of the forthcoming closure.
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (LAVENDON ROAD (PART), OLNEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2112)
. in order to enable Openreach to carry out cabling works from 24th March 2025 – 4th April 2025 (Between 9:00pm and 6:00am each night).
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
Lavendon Road, Olney – from its junction with Whirly Pit Roundabout to its junction with Olney Road.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Lavendon Road, B565, A428 Northampton Road, A509 Warrington Road (and vice versa).
Pedestrian access will be maintained whilst the closure is in place.
PUBLIC NOTICE 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WINDERMERE DRIVE (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2143)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following parts of road to allow AIS Utilities to safely undertake cable lay works:
24th March – 5th April 2024 (24 hours)
Windermere Drive, Bletchley – from its junction with Ness Way for 80 metres in south westerly direction.
Whilst the above closure is in place the alternative route will be via Stoke Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (A509 LONDON ROAD, MOULSOE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (2)(Reference TTRO-2110)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road to allow St James Group to carry out highway construction works:
Phase 2 – 25th March 2025 – 25th May 2025
• London Road, Moulsoe – From its junction with Holiday Inn to its junction with Moulsoe Road.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Portway, Marlborough Street, A422 Monks Way (and vice versa).
Phase 3 – 26th May 2025 – 31st August 2025
• London Road, Moulsoe – From its junction with Moulsoe Road to its junction with M1 Junction 14.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Portway, Marlborough Street, A422 Monks Way (and vice versa).
Phase 3 – 26th May 2025 – 31st August 2025
• Newport Road, Moulsoe – From its junction with London Road to its junction with the new Link Road
The above closure will take place between 25th March 2025 and 31st August 2025 (24 Hours) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
PUBLIC NOTICE 5:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (STATION ROAD (PART), WOBURN SANDS) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2094)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along Station Road, Woburn Sands from its junction with Summerlin Drive to its junction with Turnpike Court to enable Network Rail to undertake annual inspections and renew sections of rail.
The closure will come into effect at 11:00pm on 15th March 2025 and continue until 4:00am on 17th March 2025.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Newport Road, A421, Bedford Road, Salford Road, A507, A4012, Turnpike Road and Crawley Road (vice versa).
Whilst the closure is in place pedestrian access will be maintained via Banksman on site as and when it is safe to do so.
PUBLIC NOTICE 6:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS MILTON KEYNES – THE FESTIVAL OF RUNNING EVENT) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2047)
The effect of the above Order will be to:
1) to temporarily close parts of Avebury Boulevard (Central Milton Keynes) including any car parking area access roads where relevant, Marlborough Gate (Central Milton Keynes), Saxon Street (V7), Childs Way (H6), Chaffron Way (H7), Golden Drive (Eaglestone), Waterside (Peartree Bridge), Flaxley Gate (Monkston), Colindale Street (Monkston Park) and Tanfield Lane, Milton Road and Swanwick Lane (Broughton).
2) to temporarily prohibit right turn manoeuvres onto Saxon Street (V7) from Avebury Boulevard (Central Milton Keynes), Fulwood Drive (Leadenhall), Childs Way (H6) and Chaffron Way (H7).
The above temporary restrictions are necessary to facilitate the annual Milton Keynes Half Marathon and Festival of Running.
The temporary closures and right turn bans will be in effect on Sunday 16th March 2025 (between the hours of 6.00am and 2.00pm. The roads will re-open once the runners have passed through.
PUBLIC NOTICE 7:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (THE BOWL ROUNDABOUT (PART), MILTON KEYNES) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2116)
Th effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding Bowl Roundabout (the section between its northern egress and ingress carriageways) to enable Vodafone to undertake the installation of new telecoms equipment.
The closure will take effect on 19th and 20th March between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm each day.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Watling Street and Knowlhill Roundabout.
